Mridangam is a south Indian percussion instrument used primarily in south Indian classical music. For people who are fascinated by this instrument here is an opportunity to learn. The teaching method would follow a broad basic framework. In the beginner level, the basic technique of playing the instrument will be introduced followed by lessons in basic talas. Intermediate stage will focus on preparing the student to play short percussion solos In the advanced stage, accompanying vocal/instrumental music along with development of percussion solos will be focussed on.
