En quelques années d'enseignement/recherche en sciences exactes, j'ai pu suivre plus d'une cinquantaine d'élèves de différents niveaux, du cours particulier niveau collège jusqu'aux cours niveau Hautes Ecoles (EPFL et autres) en Mathématiques et Sciences Physiques. Cette variété de profils m'a aidé a affiner ma méthode d'enseignement selon chaque besoin. La première étape après la prise de contact pédagogique avec l'élève est la prise de connaissance de ses compétences actuelles ainsi que celles de ses ressources de cours afin de bien situer son contexte scolaire et mieux identifier ses objectifs. Pendant le cours, je fais en sorte de faire participer un maximum l'élève en étudiant ensemble des exercices. En effet il ne s'agit pas ici de faire un cours magistral et je trouve que la compréhension du cours est bien plus efficace en passant directement par des exercices et des méthodes d'application. Lorsque j'identifie une lacune sur le cours, nous passons alors un peu plus de temps sur des rappels théoriques. Mais ces points de rappels théoriques sont toujours illustrés grâce à des outils visuels modernes. A la fin du cours, nous faisons un bilan rapide des points de lacunes qui persistent, auquel cas nous ajustons les objectifs pour le prochain cours avec des suggestions d'exercices à travailler en autonomie. Nous faisons également un point sur les éléments de réussite afin que l'élève se rende compte de sa progression.
