Het doel van mijn methode is om communicatie te bevorderen, niet om de perfecte zin te produceren. Buiten een taalles, in het dagelijks leven, hebben we niet de tijd, middelen of luxe van een op maat gemaakte gesprekspartner die geduldig en empathisch is met ons gebrek aan vloeiendheid. Met mij bereid je je voor op alledaagse formele en informele gesprekken zonder voorafgaande voorbereiding, zelfs als ze stressvol of ongemakkelijk aanvoelen. Je zult ontdekken dat communicatie bovenal draait om het succesvol overbrengen van je boodschap ondanks fouten, want in het echte leven probeert de ander je zin niet te beoordelen, maar jou te begrijpen en een band met je op te bouwen. Natuurlijk werken we ook aan de vorm (grammatica, spelling, vervoeging, enz.), maar op een gerichte manier.
Daarnaast moet u er meer over weten.
Mijn aanpak is gebaseerd op mijn eigen ervaring als niet-moedertaalspreker in Brussel, een stad waar meertaligheid een echte uitdaging vormt voor nieuwkomers op het gebied van integratie en sociale contacten. Mijn methode wordt tevens beïnvloed door en ondersteund door wat ik heb geleerd tijdens mijn communicatiestudie.

Hi, my name is Jefferson. I was born in Ecuador and I’ve lived in Spain (2000–2012) and Belgium (2012–2026), and since February 2026 I’ve been based in Madrid. I teach Spanish in my free time, and I’ve also taken classes on this platform myself, so I understand the challenges and needs you can have as a student

Right now I’m planning to obtain an official certification in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. In the meantime, I continue offering lessons mainly focused on conversation.

During my time in Belgium, I really enjoyed sharing my culture and my language. I spent almost 14 years in Brussels, and living in this city helped me develop a passion for languages and informal teaching. While I was in Belgium, I was a regular at language events, tandems, and other international and cultural meetups, where I often took part proactively, sometimes as a host for conversation tables.

The goal of my method is to unlock communication, not to produce the perfectly correct sentence. Outside a language class, in real-life situations, we don’t have the time, resources or luxury of a tailor‐made conversation partner who is patient and empathetic with our lack of fluency. With me, you’ll prepare to face everyday formal and informal conversations with no advance preparation, even when they feel stressful or uncomfortable. You’ll discover that communication is, above all, about successfully getting your message across despite mistakes, because in real life the other person is not trying to grade your sentence but to understand you and connect with you. Of course, we will also work on form (grammar, spelling, conjugation, etc.), but in a targeted way.

My approach is based on my own experience as a non‐native speaker in Brussels, a city where multilingualism is a real challenge for newcomers in terms of integration and socializing. My method is also influenced and supported by what I learned during my Communication studies.
