I am a certified English teacher who has recently moved to Rotterdam from the United States. English is my native language. Whether you are a true beginner, intermediate, or an advanced English speaker who is simply looking for someone to practice with, I am here to help.

I have a true understanding of how intimidating learning a new language can be and tailor each lesson to suit your individual needs. We will assess what you already know and work together to set goals that will push you out of your comfort zone but not be overwhelming. Since moving to Rotterdam I have helped many students work towards their English language learning goals. I have experience teaching ESL (English as a second language) for business and regularly help ESL students prepare for interviews.

A little about the lessons: I like to use a variety of materials to build my lessons but a typical lesson will focus on a relevant topic to suit your interests and needs, and give you various opportunities to practice listening, comprehension, discussion, formation of complex thoughts and ideas, reading, and building vocabulary. I like to utilize technology when it can be used to enrich the lesson and assign homework as a continuation of our session.

*My rate includes our time together as well as additional time spent outside of class preparing your individualized lessons/materials and building a program that works best for your English language learning needs.

I moved to Rotterdam with my husband and our two dogs in November of 2018! I have a personal love for learning and helping others. Aside from hanging with my family, I love practicing yoga, visiting museums, and cooking!

I am a patient teacher who is here to help you succeed! I believe in building relationships with my students and developing student-centered lessons to suit your individual needs and learning style. My goal is to provide you with an environment where you feel comfortable and capable of achieving your goals! I like to incorporate technology into my lessons when helpful and typically assign homework after each meeting as a continuation of the lesson.
