Présentation
Originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, I've been based in London since 1994.
For the last 20 years I have been teaching photography for post-graduate students at the Goldsmith College - University of London.
As a very experienced Educator, Artist, and Commercial Photographer, I enjoy very much the teaching/learning process. I believe teaching is a two-way street as I benefit enormously from the enthusiasm and open-minded nature of someone wanting to learn, probably as much as my students benefit from what I can offer based on my experience
Education
As a self-taught photographer, I have an extensive academic career holding a Photography Lecturer post at Goldsmiths - University of London from 1997 to present.
Expérience / Qualifications
As a Photography Lecturer at Goldsmiths – University of London, I am responsible for the photographic element of the “Photography - The Image and the Electronic Arts” MA degree.
I also run a variety of photography-related short courses and workshops from my London studio.
In addition to my academic career, I am also a practicing artist having my work exhibited in various group and solo shows in the UK, Brazil, Argentina, and most recently at the “Rotterdam Photo Festival 2020" in the Netherlands
As a commercial photographer, I work mainly in the Fine Arts/Design/Interiors sector.

In a nutshell, "Colour Management" is a range of very specific procedures & software settings giving you colour consistency throughout your digital workflow.
Producing and/or editing images (Digital Photographs, Scans, Digital Drawings, Graphic Design pieces, etc.) in a colour managed environment allows you to produce work which will look the same on a screen and on a print. This is the case for prints produced by yourself as well as by professional printing services.
What we will cover:
- What is colour management?
- Colour Modes, Colour Spaces, Colour Gamut
- ICC/ICM Colour Profiles
- Equipment Calibration
- Colour settings for relevant software (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.)
- Colour Managed Digital Workflow, step by step.
