Visiting lecturer in music theory, analysis, and history looking to offer private tuition to current students (degree, Masters, or Ph.D) requiring some focused help, or to those interested in cultivating some new knowledge in a fascinating subject.

I have experience in private tuition and delivering lecture series at several UK institutions and in a range of subjects, from advanced theory and analysis, to music criticism, aesthetics and the philosophy of music, and music scholarship more broadly.

من أنا؟

I am currently a visiting lecturer delivering courses in a variety of topics, but with a particular focus on music theory and philosophy. I obtained a BA(hons) (first-class), Masters (distinction), and Ph.D from the University of Liverpool, and continue to work closely with such institutions as the Society of Music Analysis, for whom I am the executive officer.

The impetus for my reaching out on forums such as this is two-fold: first, as a response to the current pandemic, which is hampering students greatly; but also because I have become acutely aware in recent years of the need for students to have a broader education, which attempts to cultivate in them a level of scholarship which is otherwise difficult to attain through the traditional university systems.

Visiting lecturer offering tuition in academic writing, proofreading, and university study-skills

I am a visiting lecturer in the humanities and social sciences looking to offer students focussed help in academic writing, essay construction, proofreading, and research methods.

This can be for a one-off consultation on a particular project (perhaps a dissertation), or a tailored course spread over several sessions (to improve general scholarship). Communication can be via email, telephone, and/or online platforms (like Zoom).

Invitation to anyone studying in the arts, humanities, or social sciences. My particular expertise lies in music (theory, analysis, history) and philosophy, and so would also welcome anyone interested in cultivating some knowledge in those areas more broadly two.
