I'm a dedicated and creative French, Romanian and English language trainer, with over 16 years of experience in the field. I'm an adept of tailored, customized courses, meant to facilitate a targeted, personalized approach, based on each student’s needs.
I use a large variety of interactive materials such as games, animations, short films, photos, paintings, songs and sketches, even when it comes to business language.
Teaching students from a wide range of backgrounds, with different levels and learning styles and paces, has considerably helped me refine my training skills over the time. I strongly believe one can best learn new notions by playing, visualizing and making analogies, not by memorizing by heart. I also prioritize conversation over writing and reading-based tasks, as I consider speaking essential when learning a language, no matter the level.
My teaching method together with my inherent passion for languages have until now successfully resulted in engaged students who learned how to study in an efficient way. This led to their significant progress and more than once to a shift of perspective regarding the idea of learning a foreign language, which doesn't have to involve boring, dense and predictable textbooks and can actually be interesting and fun.

I like to use different methods to teach French to students. It can be through songs, drama, role play or videos. I also very often use situations close to the student's experience, such as describing places they have been or talking about what they have experienced. At the same time, I teach the grammar rules to the student. I now live in regions where French has been spoken for over 30 years. Because I have learned French myself (and I am still learning other languages), I can easily put myself in a student's shoes. I can teach in French, Dutch, English, German and Russian.
