Hello, my name's Christina, but everyone calls me Nike, and I'm from Sardinia, an Italian island with an amazing culture and breathtaking natural landscapes. I have a bachelor's degree in Italian Literature, although my thesis focused on Hispano-American Literature. I love learning languages, so I am well aware of the challenges this can involve (especially when you're a bit shy). I have years of experience tutoring students both in-person and online from all around the world. I'm currently finishing my master's degree in Modern Literature and I enjoy reading and writing short stories, I love literature, music, nature, and photography, and I always enjoy a good hike in the woods with my dog.

My teaching experience primarily involves teaching Italian, Italian Literature, and grammar to students who are not native speakers. Last year, I earned my CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) certification in order to improve my teaching strategies.

I would love to teach Italian and focus on offering my students topics of conversation and reading related to their interests and Italian culture. If you wish to brush up your Italian, resume a past series of lessons, or simply start from scratch learning Italian, this is the right lesson for you! I like to personalize each class/course according to the needs and goals of my students. My classes are focused on improving the student's communication skills. At beginner and lower intermediate levels, I prefer using a text book/ student book in the first part of the class. I usually use "Nuovissimo Progetto Italiano" and "Arrivederci" by Edilingua, or "Nuovo Espresso" and "Dieci" by Alma Publishing. For the second part of the lesson, I create engaging contents using original videos, press articles, extracts from blogs and social media, literary texts. If the students do not feel comfortable using Italian from scratch, I can switch to English, German, or Dutch. The course fee includes the correction of home assignments.
