I am a Portuguese teacher, translator, proofreader, language lover, and lifelong learner.

I am originally from Recife, Brazil, and since 2020, I have discovered my passion for teaching the Portuguese language. Despite having an initial education in a different area, it was through learning languages and teaching my students that I developed my skills as a teacher. I have also pursued further university certificates in linguistics, Portuguese as a foreign language, teaching methodologies, and translation.

I have always been passionate about languages. In addition to Portuguese, I speak English and Spanish, and I am currently studying other languages (this is one of my hobbies).

Hi! My name is Sergio. I am Mexica-American and I was born and raised in Chicago. I graduated with a degree in Linguistics and am TEFL Certified. I have been teaching for 7 years and have experience teaching English and Spanish in 1-1(in person and online) classes, in private elementary schools, public schools, call centers, IT companies and universities.
