English is an international language that tends to unite people from all over the world. English speaking combats the language barriers on different occasions: whether it is while traveling or during a business meeting with international clients. Many people have issues with learning a particular language by themselves, that is why I am here.
The initial goal of the course is to determine the level of a student and continue to improve it by easy and fun techniques training both speaking, grammar, and vocabulary. By the joint effort, we can conquer the fear of communication in English.

Specialized in teaching non-native languages, I teach FLE, English and Portuguese in a practical and easy way. All levels are welcome (beginners to university students)! The teacher will be happy to receive you. Lessons can also be delivered online, students even learn better when lessons are given via Skype (the teacher takes notes for you online), technology is so cool! :-)

This course is intended for people, employees as well as students, who want to improve their English through oral practice. Beginner to advanced levels are accepted. Oral practice of a language is an effective way to become familiar with the different levels of vocabulary and accents, which can be a barrier to direct understanding. My course also aims to consolidate the achievements of higher levels which can often lack opportunities to practice. My main objective is speaking, but my course can also be adapted to requests for writing.

Franco-American from my parents, I study Native Amerindian poetry and literature, with a doctorate in mind.

No two courses are alike! That said, five key skills consistently recur in a successful session: reading comprehension, listening comprehension, writing, speaking, and vocabulary. Behind these big words lies not only the key to success, but also a wealth of richness and diversity.

Diversity of subjects, first of all, according to your interests (sport, current events, history, arts, etc.), but also diversity of methods: inverted class, before/after explanations, sensory approaches (synesthesia), mnemonic devices... everything is possible, depending on what suits you best!

From the first session, a short interview will allow me to better understand your profile and identify the most effective teaching methods for you.

Here are two examples from my experience:

A., an 8-year-old, lively and boisterous: To capture his attention, sessions should include varied, short activities directly related to his interests. Repetition can be beneficial, but more often from one session to the next than within the same class, to avoid boredom or frustration.

B., a 67-year-old adult, calm and passionate about reading: here, we can offer longer activities, focused on reading and vocabulary enrichment, which will then serve as a springboard for oral or written expression.

These two portraits clearly show that it is not up to the student to adapt to a method, but rather for the method to adapt to the student. It is with this in mind that I design each of my courses.
