I am a native English speaker living in Cannes. In 2010 I obtained my TESOL qualification and since then have enjoyed teaching English as a second language. While in London I taught K-Pop stars; here in Cannes I teach children from as young as 5. With the beginners - irrespective of age - I tend to start with phonics. A good grasp of phonics enables students to read and spell easier. It is proven that students that have started their English language learning journey with phonics tend to have a better understanding and command of grammar, syntax and language overall than those who did not complete this vital element of the English language. Once completed, I follow the Cambridge English syllabus. IThe Cambridge curriculum and material are interesting, relevant and cater to a variety of ages and levels. In addition, the Cambridge exams and certificates are accepted by many international bodies. All lessons are customised and adapted in order to correspond to the student's level.
