The piano is an orchestra in one instrument! Learning to play this instrument provides the basis for composition, learning harmony and developing musical skill. Age does not matter - I teach beginners to advanced players. My approach is artistic and creative, meaning there is a focus on the strengthening of individual expression and abilities while learning the basics of music, how to play and perform , as well as how to compose. Music theory is integrated into practical lessons so that an overall knowledge of music is achieved no matter what we study! At the same time I offer theory lessons on its own for those interested. Students have the option of playing and learning for enjoyment/personal progress or passing piano and theory exams (Trinity, ABRSM).
