I recently finished my A-levels this year in English, Maths, and Psychology (predicted AAA). I am willing to tutor students in any of these subjects ideally English and/or Psychology, but Maths would not be a problem too) or for 9-1 GCSE Science (I got a 7,8, and 9 in the sciences). Because of only recently doing my GCSEs and A-levels, the content is fresh in my mind. Furthermore, I think I am able to empathize with students, especially those who need extra help because of the COVID-19 situation, as I've been through the system not long ago. As for my previous experience in tutoring, I have tutored younger students at my school, family friends and I have a sibling who is on the brink of completing GCSEs - this is why I feel I might be able to offer a more personalized approach to students. The set texts for English Literature I'm familiar with are Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth, Winter's Tale, A Streetcar Named Desire, An Inspector Calls, The Great Gatsby, A Christmas Carol, The Handmaid's Tale, Feminine Gospels. I also read poetry during my free time and I have a good grasp of poetry - if there are specific poems students want me to go through, I would prepare annotations and notes for that specific poem, prior to the lesson. At GCSE, I did Triple Science meaning I could help with either Double or Triple Science. My aim is to be concise when I teach and befriend my tutees so that they feel comfortable enough to ask questions - how I see it, there are no 'bad' questions when it comes to English or Science!
