This class explores the dynamic relationship between American history and political development, beginning with the Constitutional Convention of 1787 and continuing through the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s. In the Political Science portion, we’ll trace the history of U.S. presidential elections from 1788 to the present, including significant shifts in party systems, campaign strategies, and voter participation.
