Hello everyone, my name is Bardia an experienced and enthusiastic violin teacher in Rotterdam.
The key words for my teaching are fun and personal development.
What matters the most to me is to have students feeling at ease with my teaching and feeling motivated after a lesson. This is why we will be playing lots of pieces together in duos, trying to develop complicity at your own pace, no rush ever.
Last but not least, I also want to train and instruct students to reach a high mental level so as to express themselves free from constraints and stresses.

Through a personalized method, tailored to your needs and wishes, we will cover together all sorts of repertoire, ranging from Baroque and Classical Music to more modern styles like Pop.
Lessons can be given in English, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, French and Farsi.

I teach at all levels from beginners to advanced with particular focus on amateur players.

I graduated from Rotterdam Conservatory in 2017 and I finished my Master in Early Music in Utrecht Conservatory in April 2024.

My name is Bardia and I am an Italian/Iranian violinist, born in Florence, currently living in Rotterdam.
I moved to The Netherlands in 2012 in order to develop my skills further and to give a boost to my career.
I first studied in Rotterdam with N. Morozova, graduating in 2017 and then decided to deepen my musical knowledge by starting a Master in Early Music in Utrecht.

- Master in Early Music in Utrecht Conservatorium with A. Lohmann.

Erfahrung / Qualifikationen

- As teacher , I have been working for more than 10 years with students of all ages and all levels. In particular, I have been teaching groups and chamber music for amateur musicians since Chamber Music is my passion.
- As a freelance player I worked and collaborated with many ensemble in The Netherlands, among them I can mention Zeeuws Orkest, Dordrechts Kamerorkest and Nieuwe Philarmonie Utrecht, both Classical and Baroque.

I love to play and to teach my instrument. I play in different Orchestras, classical chamber music, and I improvise in contemporary music with body movement. I worked a lot on the body position while playing, which I think is very important in order to release tension in the muscles and feel freer with the instrument.

I am from Spain, and I studied classical viola in the HfMT Köln (Germany). I’m currently studying baroque viola and violin in the Conservatorium in The Hague. Music has always been my biggest passion and I really enjoy sharing it with other people. My main music genres are pop, rnb, ballades, a bit of jazz, and soul.
I can read musical notes, but I mainly play by ear (which can be learned too!). I am into music theory and how it helps to understand what one hears and plays.
When it comes to singing, I know some basic techniques and can help with pitch, harmonizing, control, and feeling comfortable/confident when singing.

I am a student at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in the Early Music department, the beautiful and special instrument Harpsichord is my main subject and my passion. I am offering harpsichord, piano and solfège, lessons, on top of music theory for beginners and intermediate levels at home and also online.

My name is Daniela, and I am a cross-over violist from Costa Rica. I moved to the Netherlands in 2020 to pursue my studies at Codarts Conservatory in Rotterdam, where I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Classical Music (Viola). I am currently continuing my journey at Codarts with a Master's degree in Latin Music.

During my time in the Netherlands, I have been part of a wide range of musical projects across different genres — from classical orchestras and chamber music to pop, jazz, and world music collaborations. I've performed with ensembles such as the Jong Metropole and recorded with various pop, jazz, and fusion bands. I am also the bandleader of my own Latin project, La Reunión, and work as a freelance musician with diverse musical groups.

Before moving to the Netherlands, I studied Music Education at the University of Costa Rica and worked for several years as a private teacher. I have experience teaching violin and viola to both children and adults.

As a teacher, I am kind and patient. I believe in the value of consistent, focused work and in helping students grow step by step. I aim to make the learning process feel easy and fun!

I am teaching all levels, all ages, all kind of stile on the violin or viola. Of course mostly classical, but if you wish we can also play folk, pop or other kind of songs.

We can focus on playing, on musicality, technical skills, chamber music, as you wish.

Anything that is part of a fundamental understanding of music, e.g. music theory, solfège, rhythm and piano will be taught. For me it is very important that the lessons is specifically made for the students regarding content and length. If asked violin and ballett can be taught as well. In that way the necessary aspects of a well rounded musician can be built up.

Who is Silvain
I am an enthusiastic, cheerful violinist and violin teacher. Graduated from the conservatories of Amsterdam and Rotterdam, I have been combining concerts and violin lessons since my studies. It is an ideal combination for me, in which I can transfer my passion for the violin to my students. My goal is to get the best out of the student at every level and age. The pleasure of playing and developing independence on the instrument are paramount!

What do you learn
From the very beginning we work on a good, relaxed posture. It is the basis for a free feeling on the beautiful violin to be able to produce a beautiful sound. Learning to read notes comes about through play. Depending on your musical interests, we then look for material for that. The biggest challenge is to make a beautiful story out of every melody. Together we will increase your playing skills as quickly as possible!

The violin lesson
In a nice classroom in Barendrecht and Rhoon I teach children from the age of three. Adults are also very welcome to make a long-cherished wish come true. The lessons last half an hour or longer and are individual for the most personal attention possible. Many students of the Violin School also play in an orchestra. There are also students who have made it their profession. There are regular performances to be able to show what you have learned, if you wish.

The lesson conditions
I have competitive rates and flexible lesson conditions. You are not tied to an annual contract and if you are unable to attend, we will look for another lesson time in consultation. Feel free to make an appointment for a trial lesson. You are very welcome!

My name is Ann, I'm a Finnish violinist and passionate teacher, and I live in Charlois, near Rotterdam. I enjoy guiding students of all ages—both beginners and advanced—on their path to confident and expressive music-making.

What can you expect?

My teaching approach is friendly, motivating, and focused on building a solid musical foundation. Whether you're learning to play the violin for the first time or want to further develop your existing skills, I tailor each lesson individually to your goals, interests, learning pace, and personality.
I teach in English, German, and Finnish. I also speak some Spanish, Swedish, and Dutch.

Trial lesson

A trial lesson offers a relaxed opportunity to get acquainted, try out the instrument, and discuss your goals, favorite music, and practical matters such as scheduling and location. Don't have a violin yet? No problem—you can borrow one of my violins during the trial lesson. I'm also happy to help you choose or rent a suitable instrument.

Classical music, tango and other music styles

Besides classical music, I specialize in Argentine tango. I also have extensive experience playing and teaching other styles, such as contemporary music, Latin American music, folk music, and pop.

My background

I received my Master of Music degree from Codarts Conservatory in Rotterdam. Previous studies included Oulu, Helsinki, and Porvoo (Finland). In addition to my teaching, I perform regularly throughout Europe and collaborate with symphony orchestras and chamber music ensembles.
