Formación
Mustafa was born in 1988 in İzmir, Turkey.
He began his first cello studies at the age of nine with his father, Cemil, a cellist with the İzmir State Opera and Ballet.
At the age of eleven, he passed the entrance exams for Dokuz Eylül University State Conservatory, where he studied with Prof. Erol Şekeramber. He later continued his education with Prof. Çağlayan Ünal Sümer.
During his high school years, he was accepted to Akdeniz University State Conservatory in Antalya, where he studied under Prof. Engin Sansa. Throughout his secondary education, he participated in numerous masterclasses, working with distinguished artists such as Alexander Rudin, Umberto Clerici, Benyamin Sönmez, Peter Bruns, Veronika Yeliz Efe, Şafak Atakır, and Serdar Mamaç.
During this period, he also occasionally performed as an adjunct musician with the Antalya State Symphony Orchestra.
In 2007, he was admitted to the Akdeniz University State Conservatory, beginning his undergraduate studies. After one year, in 2008, he transferred to Dokuz Eylül University State Conservatory, where he continued his studies with Prof. Çağlayan Ünal Sümer.
Throughout his education at Dokuz Eylül University, he performed in numerous solo and orchestral concerts, including collaborations with the Yaşar University Chamber Orchestra, the National Youth Symphony Orchestra, and the İzmir State Symphony Orchestra.
After graduation, he performed with various ensembles such as the İZDOP Odeon Chamber Orchestra, İzmir Youth Symphony Orchestra, Anatolian Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Olten Philharmonic Orchestra.
In 2014, he passed the Dokuz Eylül University Master’s Entrance Exam and began his postgraduate studies, though this work remained at the thesis stage.
Later, in 2019, he was accepted into the Akdeniz University State Conservatory Master’s Program, where he completed his studies under Prof. Eren Güllü and successfully graduated in 2021.
