ABOUT ME
I've been working as a freelance film producer and media professional since 2010, producing work for a range of different markets. In that time I've mentored a number of people and been mentored myself - now I'm keen to pass on my knowledge to others.
I hold a full, enhanced DBS certificate.

MY EXPERIENCE
I've lectured at a number of colleges and schools, as well as having delivered workshops and seminars for small (and larger) audiences.

MY TUTORING STYLE
I can support individuals on a one-to-one basis using targeted, task orientated learning practices, or through a more flexible approach; whatever works for you. I believe in the importance of holistic learning, so I'll try wherever possible to provide links to complimentary disciplines.

More than anything, I believe that the best learning environment is a relaxed, focussed and trusting one. I want my tutees to be comfortable at all times and I'll spend time making sure you and I get that balance right before we begin.

What do you like about documentaries and what do you have to say to an audience? What insights can you give about your context? What stories near you have a meaning that matters? What images you see are powerful to touch the public? Your own ideas and experience is our main source for the decision making of what film are you ready to write and direct. The purpose of sharing my methods and process is that you find your own voice and style for developing meaningful documentaries and designing low cost production processes.

Stories are as old as we are, but if you want to put a story on paper or portray a story, it turns out to be more difficult than talking to your friends. How about now?
Not what you tell, but HOW you tell it is the most important.
The basics and how to use psychology to write a story, this is what you will learn anyway. Those who want to continue afterwards will learn how to write a script. Fiction or facts, you decide what you want to learn.

As we can all notice as the technology advances this is a skill that we all need right now. In this class you will learn everything about taking pictures with a digital camera. 30 Classes will allow you to be completely ready to take any photographe to the next level.

Online and/or face-to-face methodology.
I have several years of experience as an audiovisual teacher, I have taught subjects such as audiovisual culture, history or production. I also give script classes and analyze audiovisual projects as a script doctor.

Este seminario de 6 clases propone un recorrido profundo por la vida y la obra de Andrei Tarkovski, uno de los directores más grandes e influyentes de la historia del cine.

Clase 1: Biografía y formación
Se abordará su infancia, su crianza en un entorno católico dentro de la Unión Soviética, el contexto social y cultural de la época, su formación como estudiante de cine y sus primeras películas. El objetivo es comprender de dónde nace su mirada artística y espiritual.

Clases 2 a 6: Filmografía y lenguaje cinematográfico
Se realizará un análisis completo de su obra, siguiendo un recorrido cronológico por sus películas para identificar temas, obsesiones y transformaciones a lo largo del tiempo.
Trabajaremos su estilo y lenguaje cinematográfico:
– el tiempo y el ritmo
– las atmósferas
– la memoria
– los símbolos
– lo espiritual
– la construcción de sentido a través de la imagen

After living and teaching in New York, Mexico City, England, and Jordan, I've developed a methodology that integrates intercultural sensitivity with filmmaking techniques, digital art, and creative writing.
