This is a class for anyone who loves to create and appreciates the beauty and hidden wonders of life. With activities ranging from painting, drawing, collaging, and even making sculptures out of found objects, learn and/or improve your art skills by pushing yourself a little, or a lot, with this class. If you are an absolute beginner, or a professional seeking to diversify your practice, these lessons will undoubtedly challenge you as an artist. You have the freedom to explore whichever field of art you want, just let me know, and I will do as much as I can to guide and teach you the necessary skills with fun and educational exercises. I have more than 5 years of teaching experience, and am a former art teacher for children between the ages of 3 and 15. I have prior art tutoring experience, so you (or your child) will most definitely be in good hands!

Hello! My name is Jem, and I am an open and energetic art teacher. I believe that experimentation is vital for growth, and I aim to implement this philosophy into my teaching. Whether it is making melting ice-cube sculptures that turn into paintings, or creating a cubist self-portrait out of found objects, I believe that stepping outside of the box of traditional arts is what truly solidifies one's foundation as a creative. I have former teaching experience in both experimental art, as well as painting, sketching, and more design-sensitive projects like graphic design and photography.

My goal for each student is for them to develop their assessment of the aesthetic, functional, and conceptual aspects of form. This is done through a series of exercises and projects practicing the student’s understanding of line, plane, volume, space, texture, color, proportion, scale, balance, movement, and structure. Trombone lessons
Learning to master the trombone is no easy task. It is an infinitely variable instrument, it has no valves or valves, which means that the hearing in particular must be well trained. Solfège is an important part of my lessons. If you can sing something, you can also play it, is my vision. Besides trombone lessons I also give trumpet lessons for beginners. Even then I use the ear training method.

At music schools I teach according to the AMV principle. With that you can get your diplomas, A to D. The latter is, as it were, the audition for the conservatory.

In my studio in Krimpen aan de Lek, near Rotterdam, I give music lessons according to your needs. That can be technical mastery, or being able to recite an étude or concert beautifully. But also learning to play over a chord scheme, improvising, being able to play freely.

I can come to you if you live, for example, in Capelle aan den IJssel, in Dordrecht or Rotterdam.

COVID-19 update 2021: Due to the corona crisis, I am currently also teaching online via Skype. However, my studio is so large that the 1.5 meters can be maintained at the 1 on 1 classes. In addition, there is a screen between the student and myself

I am literally just pulling books off of my shelves to write names of artists with animation connections who have caught my eye over the last five years.You may have some books that I do not, so tell me so that I can get them! Here are some of the illustrators who caught my eye back then who came out of animation.

For many years now I have worked at International schools and can use that experience to help your child with their learning. My emphasis is on creating a love of learning and building confidence which leads to better learning. In addition to maths and language skills, I have a background in the arts and have created and given many arts and crafts classes for children of all ages. I can create age appropriate activities for younger children or support developing skills in older children.

As an artist and art therspist with Cultural sciences as my academic background I teach on the 7 functions of art and philosophy of art to ArtHistory students for their essay and coaches and therapists to intigrate art thersphy in their therspeutic practice.

Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht) and an art and culture teacher (graduated from Willem de Kooning Academy). I work in drawing, painting, video, installations, writing, music, and I experiment with plenty of media. I love to hear you and I find it important to hear the voice and authenticity of the students themselves, I can offer a personal lesson plan according to your wishes, in Dutch, English and Turkish.

🎨 Not just a workshop — a creative journey.
Each week we explore a new topic or technique — from line drawing, sketch to painting. Get to know materials: pencil, charcoal, acrylic, oil painting, Chinese ink. Dive in to various styles: Impressionism, Fauvism and Surrealism — just like in real art school.
Every session is beginner-friendly and independent, so you can join anytime. It’s perfect if you want more than a one-time experience — and want to grow real skills over time.

Most short workshops focus on just one thing — plant, portrait or landscape. But real artists learn to see and understand the principles. So that you can find your own way to create.
In my workshops, we go deeper and learn the grammer of visual art: exploring value, color theory, composition and creativity through many styles.
Think of it like an art school evening — but cozy, flexible, and beginner-friendly.

I’m an art teacher with my own atelier, and I also teach at a local art centre. I run creative workshops for both kids and adults from all kinds of backgrounds. I love designing classes that mix hands-on technique with Art history.
I’m really enjoying guiding people discover their own expression in art.
My approach tend to be student-focused which also shaped by my international background. For me, it is important creating a welcoming space where people feel free and inspired to explore. Whether someone’s picking up a brush for the first time or coming back to art after years, I’m there to encourage them.
