Are you interested in learning and practice speaking the Japanese language in a welcoming and relaxed environment? If that sounds like you, you have come to the right place^^
My lessons are based on daily conversation and there is no textbook, so each lesson we can talk about whatever you feel like at the time! I can help you learn new words, phrases and guide you on how to talk with a natural pronunciation.
I have experience teaching English conversation to Japanese students in Japan for roughly 5 years and the majority were new to the language so if you are not too confident in speaking Japanese yet, there is no need to worry! People would describe me as a kind, empathetic and patient person so don't be afraid to ask me questions or make lots of mistakes, as that is all part of the learning process^^

Note: For in person lessons, please discuss the availability of place/time directly with me, as the information stated here is only a rough estimate. Furthermore, in person lessons will be held at a public space and not at the student's house (If you are still a high school student, this can be discussed).

I was originally born and raised in New Zealand and have been fluent in Japanese and English for my entire life. I have experience teaching English conversation to Japanese students with a vast age range for roughly 5 years and excited to share the Japanese language with you now!

The thing I value most in my lesson is for the student to feel joy speaking the language. There is no textbook, so each lesson we can talk about whatever you feel like at the time! 90% of my Japanese students have been a beginner level to English so if you are completely new to the language or lacking confidence in speaking, there is no need to worry!
