My name is Wimian Hernandez. I am from Cuba and I am graduated from the Royal Conservatory of the Hague with a Master degree in Classical Double bass.I am currently doing the Academy of NederlandPhilharmonic and Kamerorkest I have been in the world of Classical music since 15 years ago having a complete education in Piano, Theory music double bass and Music History. Since I arrived in the Hague (almost 4 years ago) I started to teach the piano to kids and It has been wonderful to see how they progress and how fast they learn it. I have been focus in looking better ways to start teaching them in order to keep them motivated them. Since I arrive to the Netherlands I discovered my passion for teaching. My first experiences were with kids and I really loved! I was really amazed of how fast they got the skills on the piano or the double bass 😃. I am really enjoy to teach all my knowledge and make them happy at learning music.

I started to study music since I am 7 years old. At the conservatory I had a complete education of theory music, piano, double bass, History music, harmony and others music subjects. I have been already in the music world for almost 20 years.
I also have a Master's degree in Classical double bass which I completed in the Royal Conservatory of the Hague.

I am a professional violinist with both a Bachelor's and Master's degree. For the past few years, I have been teaching violin daily in The Hague and the surrounding areas. In my lessons, I offer a combination of professionalism, availability, fun learning methods, and effective strategies to help overcome challenges.

Music is my passion, and I truly love sharing it with others!

I am a violin and piano teacher from Cape Town South Africa where I graduated with Honours in a Bachelor in violin performance from the University of Cape Town with distinction. Most recently I graduated from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague (2021) with a Master's Degree in Music Education (specialising in violin).

I have 7 years of violin teaching experience and 3 years of piano teaching experience. Most of my students have been young children but I have also had students of all ages, from children as young as three years old to adults who are in retirement.

Attending Kodaly training at the conservatory has equipped me to teach from an auditory and songs based perspective, where singing is integrated into the instrumental lessons. I also use movement inside of lessons, as I have had some training inside of the Dalcroze eurhythmics approach. This approach sees movement as the embodiment of the music. I also actively incorporate elements of creativity in my teaching, for example creating improvisations, or making musical stories.

In terms of my own experience in music, I have performed as a solo violinist with the orchestra as well as being an ad hoc tutti violinist for the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, and with the baroque violin for the Camerata Tinta Barocca and Cape Consort. I have performed with traditional African musicians and ensembles, as well as with dancers for instance in MusicDance021 which is an interdisciplinary real-time composition project.

Violin/viola privet lessons for all levels and ages!
I am a viola and violin teacher who graduated from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague with a specialization in Education, as a three-year minor course as part of the Bachelor of Music. I am currently studying for my master's at Codarts Rotterdam.
I have experience teaching music to kids and teenagers, beginners and advanced levels. Adults are very welcome too! :) We will make music together, I accompany my students with my viola or piano (if any). We will also learn music theory integrated with the instrument class.

The central pillars I always work with are technique and creativity, which are much more connected than you would expect! While we advance, I also introduce the basics (or more deeply, if you are interested) of music theory to learn to communicate with each other in musical terms (chords, keys, score reading, etc.). And above all, the goal is to enjoy and have fun!

There are two grand pianos at the location in Den Haag.

For children, it is important to develop basic musical skills through Singing, Rythmique, and Ear training besides piano playing. I use one technical exercise book, the main textbook, and a theory book. Through these 3 books, students learn different aspects of music and they naturally get ready for exams and grades.

After acquiring basic skills, students study Harmony and Chord exercises too. These are useful for playing pops and jazz, and they obtain a deeper understanding of classical pieces too.

Private Piano lesson, from age 4 and above. Children can start the lesson after being able to read the numbers from 1 to 5 and the alphabet from A to G.

Advanced students who want to prepare for competitions, auditions, ABRSM, GCSE, IB exams, or the entrance exam of the conservatory.

The concert is held annually together with students of flute, violin, and composition teachers.

For the ages 1-7 years, I have group Rhythmique lessons.

The class is for:

Singing lessons are not only an opportunity to learn singing and something new about music but also an opportunity to express emotions, forget about everyday worries, and have fun!
Through music theory lessons you can learn about the structure of music and also develop some very useful music skills such as reading music (sight-singing or sight-reading).

All students who have a specific goal in mind, but also all who do not have any specific goal in mind and want to sing or learn theory just for fun, are very welcome!

SINGING LESSONS FOR CHILDREN (individual or group lessons - maximum 10 students*)
Singing lessons for children is basically an integrated method that combines singing with solfeggio, developing basic music theory skills. It consists of playing musical games and singing children's songs and those developing intonation, musical hearing, musical memory, sense for pulse and rhythm, all with attention to healthy singing.

SINGING LESSONS FOR TEENAGERS AND ADULTS (individual or group lessons - maximum 10 students*)
During singing lessons, we will be searching for a deeper meaning of the story and different ways of interpretation, with attention to healthy singing techniques, pronunciation, and style. The lessons consist of breathing exercises, and vocal warm-up exercises with a specific technical goal and work on the desired repertoire - meaning of the words and story, vocal technique, pronunciation, interpretation, and style.
My specialization is in classical singing but I don’t mind working on other genres in my classes.

SIGHT SINGING LESSONS (individual or group lessons)
Intense course where you will be learning how to read music at sight. The lessons consist of sight singing only, beginning from the easiest level and gradually learning how to read more and more difficult music. You will develop skills needed for sight singing as well as a certain way of thinking appropriate for sight singing. (There is no technique of singing or interpretation involved in these lessons.)

SOLFEGGIO LESSONS (individual or group lessons, for children from 8 years old, teenagers, and adults)
In these lessons, you will learn how to bring written music to life (sight-singing), how to discover and put on paper the music you hear (musical dictation), and how to build scales, intervals, and chords. This knowledge is needed and examined in every conservatoire and music academy. For some conservatoires and academies, this is an obligatory pre-requirement and elimination factor on entrance exams. It is an inevitable part of every professional music education.

MUSIC THEORY LESSONS (individual lessons)
Music theory lessons can include, if desired: solfeggio, harmony, counterpoint, music form, analysis, and/or other music theory-related subjects. For each subject, we can make a special program, depending on the wishes and needs of the student.

COMBINED SOLFEGGIO AND SINGING LESSONS
Combined solfeggio and singing lessons are also possible for adults, as separate subjects or integrated with singing lessons. In both cases, the duration of each lesson is 90 minutes and the program is discussed and created based on the wishes and needs of the student. (A combination of individual singing lessons and a group solfeggio lesson is also possible.*)

AUDITION TRAINING AND PREPARATION FOR EXAMS (individual lessons)
Preparation for auditions concerning singing and/or music theory includes preparation for entrance exams, regular exams on conservatories, or preparation for ABRSM exams.

Hello! I am a classically trained pianist with a Master's Degree from the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague.
I have 9 years of teaching experience, with students from all ages and levels. My teaching methodology is focused on adapting to the student's needs and motivations while passing on my knowledge to help the student develop musical independence and create a personal connection with music.

I organize 2 class concerts per year in a beautiful venue, so that the pupils perform their favourite pieces and showcase their progress to family, friends, and classmates.

During the lessons, there are several aspects of piano playing that I can help with, according to the student's aims and musical level:

- develop technical capabilities

- finding your musical taste

I was under the tutelage of the great violin pedagogue Mr. Mauricio Fuks at Indiana University (USA) for 3 consecutive years (2018-2021) becoming his teaching assistant for 3 years (2018-2021). Moreover, I have taught young violinists in Elementary Schools, (e.g. Fairview Elementary School) and also collegiate students in the Jacobs School of Music (US). In Spain, I have teaching experience in several music schools instructing violinists ranging from 3 to 70 years of age. I have also worked with ADHD and autistic students with a great passion for violin playing and music-making.

I hold a master's in Violin Performance at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag and in Psychology and Music (UNED). I have an excellent command of English, and Dutch and a good working knowledge of French. I base my teaching method on Suzuki and Galamian methods, which I combine with a wide repertoire of progressive violin pieces.

Dominyka is a professional singer, singing, and piano teacher that is currently based in The Hague. She plays piano, violin and writes her own music.
Over the past decade, she graduated from the Royal Conservatory in The Netherlands with Bachelor's and Master's degrees in jazz singing and in pedagogical minor studies. She had a chance to participate in various music festivals as a singer, have concerts of her own, be behind the scenes in various TV shows, and win several vocal competitions, and she truly developed her ears and her knowledge that she is now also able to help others to find their own unique singing voice.

She has developed her knowledge of vocal technique, CVT method, stage presence, body language, storytelling, composition, writing, improvisation and so on. with various great teachers from all over the world. As well as, she had the honour to participate in workshops of Snarky Puppy, Dianne Reeves, Dena DeRose, Bob Stoloff, Norma Winstone, Magda Mayas, Fay Classon, etc. In addition, she took a course with Stevie Mackey, and Cheryl Porter and had lessons with Natalie Weiss. - Teaching has been an essential part of my musical life. I have a great respect for this vocation and am ready to guide my pupils with responsibility and enthusiasm! Anything that is part of a fundamental understanding of music, e.g. music theory, solfège, rhythm and piano will be taught. Hello! I am a classically trained pianist with a Master's Degree from the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague.
I have 9 years of teaching experience, with students from all ages and levels. My teaching methodology is focused on adapting to the student's needs and motivations while passing on my knowledge to help the student develop musical independence and create a personal connection with music.

I organize 2 class concerts per year in a beautiful venue, so that the pupils perform their favourite pieces and showcase their progress to family, friends, and classmates.

During the lessons, there are several aspects of piano playing that I can help with, according to the student's aims and musical level:
- learning how to read scores
- basics of music theory
- develop technical capabilities
- learning how to play by heart
- finding your musical taste
- preparing for piano exams (ABRSM)

And the most important aspect is to have fun and enjoy the journey!

I was under the tutelage of the great violin pedagogue Mr. Mauricio Fuks at Indiana University (USA) for 3 consecutive years (2018-2021) becoming his teaching assistant for 3 years (2018-2021). Moreover, I have taught young violinists in Elementary Schools, (e.g. Fairview Elementary School) and also collegiate students in the Jacobs School of Music (US). In Spain, I have teaching experience in several music schools instructing violinists ranging from 3 to 70 years of age. I have also worked with ADHD and autistic students with a great passion for violin playing and music-making.

I hold a master's in Violin Performance at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag and in Psychology and Music (UNED). I have an excellent command of English, and Dutch and a good working knowledge of French. I base my teaching method on Suzuki and Galamian methods, which I combine with a wide repertoire of progressive violin pieces.

BACKGROUND:
Dominyka is a professional singer, singing, and piano teacher that is currently based in The Hague. She plays piano, violin and writes her own music.
Over the past decade, she graduated from the Royal Conservatory in The Netherlands with Bachelor's and Master's degrees in jazz singing and in pedagogical minor studies. She had a chance to participate in various music festivals as a singer, have concerts of her own, be behind the scenes in various TV shows, and win several vocal competitions, and she truly developed her ears and her knowledge that she is now also able to help others to find their own unique singing voice.

She has developed her knowledge of vocal technique, CVT method, stage presence, body language, storytelling, composition, writing, improvisation and so on. with various great teachers from all over the world. As well as, she had the honour to participate in workshops of Snarky Puppy, Dianne Reeves, Dena DeRose, Bob Stoloff, Norma Winstone, Magda Mayas, Fay Classon, etc. In addition, she took a course with Stevie Mackey, and Cheryl Porter and had lessons with Natalie Weiss. Dominyka has a passion for music production and currently she is learning more about mixing.

LESSONS:

I whole-heartedly promise that with our singing lessons, you will learn more about your own voice and that you will develop your own sound as a singer. My students prove time and time again that they enjoy the lessons very much and they notice clear improvements themselves.

We work on warm-ups/warm-downs, breath support and its control, sound projection, how the larynx, jaw, and tongue work and can function freely, vowel placement, vocal effects, vocal color, dynamics, articulation, stage presence, high notes - power singing (belting), jazz improvisation, vocal improvisation, interpretations, rhythmic variations, and so much more.

My goal for you is to have the best time and spend lesson time wisely while we achieve the best results in singing. If there is a wish, I can also help you to broaden your knowledge about the repertoire that is suiting to your voice color, recording sessions, live performance situations, "a workout plan for singing", songwriting/composing, music theory, ear-training, solfeggio, and such.

I recognise that every voice is unique, and that's why my singing lessons are customised to suit each individual student. The focus is on building a strong foundation in vocal technique, honing performance skills, and curating a versatile repertoire that aligns with your musical aspirations.

Whether you're a beginner or a more experienced singer, I am here to help you reach your goals. This course, based on more than 10 years of experience in teaching, offers private lessons where everyone can find their unique contact with their instrument, deepen their relationship with music and develop a unique way of expressing themselves through music making.
I teach from international method books and adjust my methods to the individual needs of each student. Taking two courses of the Alexander technique also helped me to develop an understanding of the essential connection between the body and our minds. This awareness can be very helpful not only for our musical performances, but also for our everyday lives. I believe that my already 10 years of teaching practice has shaped my teaching into a stage where everyone can learn what they need.

One of the best ways of learning is transcribing from great jazz musicians. In this vein, you can understand their playing and improve yours from the knowledge learned. Besides you also improve your ear. The students learn using the ear as a main tool in my lessons.

- Teaching has been an essential part of my musical life. I have a great respect for this vocation and am ready to guide my pupils with responsibility and enthusiasm! I have taught people of ages between 5 and 75, people with all kinds of levels and backgrounds. I am willing to take every new situation as a challenge.

Anything that is part of a fundamental understanding of music, e.g. music theory, solfège, rhythm and piano will be taught. For me it is very important that the lessons is specifically made for the students regarding content and length. If asked violin and ballett can be taught as well. In that way the necessary aspects of a well rounded musician can be built up.

There's also the opportunity to learn about Harmony and Keyboard Voicings (chords/harmony and chord melody). These methods can be put into practice with Harmony Progressions (including with your own compositions/songs, etc.) to see how Harmony works with the concept of Functional Harmony and beyond.

We discuss where your musical preference lies and which way we are going. In any case, fun is paramount!
