I have taught at the American Film Institute as well as freelanced as an editor, collaborating with a slew of creative professionals. I have been through the drama school audition process for both Bachelor's and Master's programs and can help you prepare to do the same. Finding monologues, rehearsing the text, understanding the audition process, and giving applicants comfort and confidence going into this important application process.
In this course, aspiring filmmakers will master the full workflow of taking an idea from concept to execution, with a special focus on the skills needed to excel as a First Assistant Director (1st AD). You’ll learn essential pre-production and production skills, including script development, scheduling, shot planning, casting, cast and crew management, shot listing, storyboarding, safety and risk management, on-set communication, conflict resolution, and time management. Through practical exercises and personalized feedback, you’ll build the confidence to lead a seamless production.
