Swahili, also known as Kiswahili, is a Bantu language spoken by millions in East Africa, particularly in countries like Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. It's also recognized as one of the official languages of the African Union. In my Kiswahili class, students will embark on a comprehensive journey to master the language and gain cultural insights of East Africa. They will start by learning the Swahili alphabet and pronunciation, progressing to basic vocabulary and phrases for everyday communication.
