I specialise in teaching Latin, Greek and Classical Civilisation, from beginners to university level. I have degrees from the University of York and Middlesex University, and I have been teaching Classics since 1992. My approach is to focus on reading skills rather than abstract teaching of grammar and syntax. Greek and Latin are human languages, in which humans wrote to communicate what the considered important truths. The languages are best learnt by studying simplified versions of these important truths, and by proceeding by stages to their original utterances.
