I can teach observational art, on location where we draw and paint landscapes, developing colour theory and different types of construction, perspective and mark making. I can also offer more abstract exploration, where we may start with a concept or an image as a starting point and create a more imaginative work from it. This process often includes creating a collage from which the student may be inspired to create a more surreal piece through abstraction. Alternatively, the student could suggest an idea they have been interested in, e.g. a story or news piece they read and I can guide them in the ways in which they may use their artistic process to develop this idea into a piece. I can also offer teaching English through creative play; using imagery as an aid to developing the language.
