In my lessons, I prioritize being attentive to my students, taking into account their voice, body type, and musical preferences. My teaching method is based on a personalized approach, where I aim to adjust vocal technique to suit the style of music chosen, whether it's classical, opera, or contemporary genres.

I also place great emphasis on body awareness, which is essential for healthy and effective singing. Through breathing exercises, posture work, and relaxation techniques, we work together to release the voice and develop a solid and flexible vocal technique.

Whether you are a beginner or an experienced singer, I will guide you with care and expertise to help you reach your vocal goals in a respectful and encouraging environment.

Passionate about music and with more than two years of experience, I offer musical awakening classes for children, online or at home. I have given classes in various primary and secondary schools, which has allowed me to refine my teaching method and adapt to each child.

I hold the BAFA (French animation diploma) and am currently studying lyrical singing and accordion at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp. My approach is centered on listening and respecting the rhythm of each student, in order to promote an enjoyable and stimulating learning experience.

Hi!

Have you always wanted to learn to sing?
Is your voice getting tired after singing (alone or in a choir)?

I love passing on the knowledge of my craft. The mechanics of the voice is such a small and intricate thing, and knowing what goes inside our throat and body is a very special experience. I get excited and moved every time a student achieves a new skill, and takes another step towards a deeper understanding of their voice.
On top of my experience as a singer and a teacher, I have a degree in linguistics. That allows me to know exactly what has to be done inside your throat and mouth in order to produce a specific sound. I can therefore adapt to each student: if they have an analytic mind, I can explain what goes on inside and what should be done to improve that. If they have an instinctive mind, I can help with metaphor in order to help the phonation. Or both! My method is multi-faceted because each voice is unique, and it is my job to adapt, and not the contrary.

How does a lesson work?
The first time we meet, we will talk about your journey in the music world. What have you done yet music wise, what artists and genres inspire you, what are your goals. Then we will do what we do in every regular lesson: I will direct you during some warming-up exercises, that include vocal technique work (if you have already warmed up, we just do a few exercises about technique), and then we will work on whatever you want. I ask my students to always come with at least one piece of music they want to work on (or maybe two, depends on the time we have on hands).

My name is Ella, I’m a professional jazz singer. I have a degree in teaching, and have years of experience in teaching and coaching singers. I’m constantly looking to deepen my knowledge, and I’m currently studying new techniques focused on voice anatomy.

In my coaching sessions I focus mostly on vocal techniques such as:

-Full voice (chest voice)
-Stiff voice (head voice)
-Twang
-The use of jaw and tongue
-Control of the velum (soft palette)
-Anchoring (support)
-Larynx

In my view, these techniques are like colors in your palette, when you master them, you can decide when and where you want to use them. Your sound should always be a choice, not a way to hide what you can't do (yet).

This course is meant for intermediate to advanced singers.
Courses take place in Anderlecht, at walking distance from Brussels South station.

I'm Caitlin and I've been on stage for 8 years with different projects. In addition to being a front singer with my own band BLOND, I am also a backing vocalist and bassist with BLUAI and Judith Kiddo, among others.

I've been singing all my life and there's nothing I like more. In all those years, I have encountered various problems on my path and had to recruit technology.
