لجدول الدوري هو ترتيب جدولي للعناصر الكيميائية، يُنظم بناءً على العدد الذري (عدد البروتونات في نواة الذرة) والخصائص الكيميائية والفيزيائية المتكررة للعناصر. يُعد من أهم الأدوات في علم الكيمياء، حيث يساعد على فهم سلوك العناصر وتوقع تفاعلاتها.

الترتيب الأساسي:

تُرتب العناصر تصاعديًا حسب العدد الذري (من 1 للهيدروجين إلى أكثر من 118 للعناصر الاصطناعية).

يبدأ كل دور (صف أفقي) عندما تبدأ طبقة إلكترونية جديدة.

تتشارك العناصر في العمود (مجموعة أو صف عمودي) خواص كيميائية متشابهة.

التقسيمات الرئيسية:

الدورات (الصفوف الأفقية): عددها 7، وتمثل مستويات الطاقة الإلكترونية.

المجموعات (الأعمدة الرأسية): عددها 18 مجموعة أساسية، وتحتوي على عناصر ذات خصائص كيميائية متقاربة.

الفلزات – اللافلزات – أشباه الفلزات: موزعة بطريقة تعكس خصائصها الكيميائية والفيزيائية.

المناطق الرئيسية في الجدول:

الفلزات القلوية (المجموعة 1): عناصر نشطة جدًا.

الفلزات القلوية الأرضية (المجموعة 2): أقل نشاطًا من القلوية.

العناصر الانتقالية (المجموعات من 3 إلى 12): فلزات قوية ومتنوعة الاستخدامات.

الهالوجينات (المجموعة 17): لافلزات شديدة التفاعل.

الغازات النبيلة (المجموعة 18): خاملة كيميائيًا في الغالب.

اللانثانيدات والأكتينيدات: صفّان منفصلان أسفل الجدول، وغالبًا ما تُعرضان خارجه لتوفير المساحة.

أهمية الجدول الدوري:

يُظهر نمطًا دوريًا في الخواص مثل الحجم الذري، الكهروسالبية، طاقة التأين.

يُستخدم للتنبؤ بتفاعلات العناصر وسلوكها الكيميائي.

يُعد أداة مرجعية أساسية للعلماء والطلاب والباحثين في علوم الكيمياء والفيزياء.
