My name is Minas. I've worked as a professional musician since I finished high school, playing live with bands of different genres and recording original music with several groups. I've also toured with my band in Greece, northern Europe and the UK several times. I studied in a music high school and then continued with double bass classes in a local concervatory and then in the State Conservatory before moving to the Netherlands to continue my studies on electric bass. Here I continue to play in two bands, composing and recording original material.
When teaching electric bass, my main target is for the student to understand the philosophy behind the bass and its role in a band. Certain techniques are explored and we focus on harmony, creating bass lines and playing solo. The lessons plan is shaped depending on the student's needs and interests.

I believe positive energy is very important in the learning process! I keep a positive encouraging attitude towards the student, trying to come closer to him/her instead of building distance by being formal.
Communication is the key to get to know a student's needs. It's important for me to know what they're interested in and what they want to learn instead of overwhelming them with information.
Although I've spent years learning through playing covers and studying the great bass players and artists I admire, I always strive to focus on composing original music and I hope to inspire my students to do the same.

Hello (future) musician!

Have you never touched a string, or are you advanced and looking for new challenges?

I have been giving guitar lessons since 2007 with great pleasure. In addition to these private lessons, I worked at the Guitar Academy in Amsterdam, at Muziekles Den Bosch and at Art in Music in Utrecht, next to my work as an executive musician. I studied at the Rockacademie in Tilburg and Musicology at Utrecht University. Broad interests, reflected in the hoevelheid styles I play and education (from pop and rock to salsa, tango and gypsy to metal and jazz). I also give solfège and music theory.
It does not matter how exotic your interest, I can help you get better! In addition, I can choose and arrange songs for you, so that there is no limit to your imagination: learn to play what you want to learn to play.

These lessons are not given in a large, impersonal music school: lesson duration and lesson dates are discussed and are flexible. Personal and smooth, easier for everyone. Besides guitar enthusiast teaching is a big passion of mine, and I think that is essential to be able to offer good lessons. Whether I teach you how to play your first songs in a few lessons, or whether we are going to pick up some tough pieces, it is a pleasant and productive learning process. Basles for beginners and advanced students.
I give the base and slaples on the bass.
Nothing is more fun than being able to play something at the first lesson and with me that is possible, otherwise it is so boring.
I teach in Pop, Rock, Funk and Reggae ..
It depends on you how often you practice playing.
