Hello! My name is Cláudia, and I have been playing the violin since I was seven. I am currently pursuing my Master's degree in Classical Music, and I love to share my knowledge, experiences, and passion for the violin with my students.

My goal is to explore the violin together with you and follow your aspirations with the instrument. Do you want to become a professional and play in an orchestra, or do you want to learn that song you listened to on the radio and can't stop thinking about it? Anything is possible!

Alongside the violin, I will also explore with you some basics (or more) of music theory. I am also available for chamber music lessons

The Portuguese violinist Cláudia was born and raised in the city of Guimarães, Portugal. Her passion for music manifested at a very young age, which led her to start her violin studies at the age of 7, under the guidance of Filipa Abreu, with whom she studied for the next 12 years at Conservatório de Guimarães. In those years, Cláudia was awarded multiple prizes in national competitions, such as Concurso Santa Cecília, Prémio Nacional Elisa Sousa Pedroso, Concurso Paços Premium, and Concurso Marília Rocha.

Cláudia discovered a passion for orchestral and chamber music at a young age, which led her to participate in various orchestras and ensembles throughout her life, such as Orquestra Sub-12 da Capital Europeia da Cultura, Jovem Orquestra Portuguesa, Orquestra Sinfónica Ensemble, Orquestra de Guimarães, etc., where she had the opportunity to work with the conductors, Vítor Matos, Pedro Carneiro, Cesário Costa, Filipe Senna, David Bruchez-Lalli and Leon Spierer.

Leservaring

Cláudia's latest projects include working with the Portuguese Chamber Orchestra, Brabant Sinfonia, and New European Ensemble. Additionally, her work with the ensemble Rosin Octet has taken her to different national and international stages and festivals, such as Muziekgebouw Eindhoven, Willem Twee Toonzaal, Arvo Pärt Centre, Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi, and Festival Guimarães Clássico. These projects awakened a newfound interest in contemporary music for the young violinist, and she has been a part of premieres of compositions by Kate Moore, Enrico Ferri, Jay Schwartz, and Shai Maestro.

My name is Ayse and I am a violin teacher. I completed my Masters in violin at Fontys Hogeschool voor de Kunsten and have 7+ years of teaching experience.

Everyone can learn to play an instrument as long as they have good guidance. I prioritize a methodological approach and building close relationships with my students.

-If you have a passion to learn violin, you can follow my course.
-My classes offer you to improve in versatile ways of violin playing. (Classical, folk, jazz&improvisation)
-We will study music theory and solfege alongside instrumental practice.
-I use educational methods that are adjustable to student needs.
-I combine teaching with educational games for children.
-Each month, I organize class concerts where students perform what they have learned so far in front of an audience of their parents and peers.

LEARNING TO PLAY THE VIOLIN IS DIFFERENT FOR EVERYONE. SOME DO IT BY HEAR AND OTHERS DO IT PURELY ON THE NOTES. FOR ONE IT GOES A LITTLE FASTER, WHERE IT SOMETIMES NEEDS A LITTLE MORE TIME FOR THE OTHER. OF COURSE IT MAY ALSO BE THAT YOU ARE A LITTLE LESS OF THE CLASSICAL MUSIC AND YOU WANT TO EXPLORE THE POP SCENE, BUT YOU CAN OF COURSE STICK TO THE CLASSICAL MUSIC. EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE

MUSIC IS DIFFERENT FOR EVERYONE, SO THAT'S WHY IT'S CUSTOMIZED.

For children from 2 to 8 years old I use the colorstrings method. This method ensures that the student practices each level equally efficiently and the hearing is stimulated and stimulated to work, in addition to training the reading work. It is a method that can be practiced very easily at home without a teacher.

Want to start playing the violin, work towards a profesional career or learn to play just for fun? Every reason to want to play the violin is a good one, and everyone is welcome to come learn with me!
These violin lessons will be carefully tailored to each student, considering level, goals and availability to practice at home. The lessons will be focused around classical music, but I am always open to help students explore other genres as they wish. Ensemble playing is a very important part of music learning, and I will do everything I can to facilitate an opportunity for students to be able to play music with other people. The lessons will be supplemented with music theory and history, to not only give an ability to play the violin but to also give the student a well rounded understanding and appreciation of the music. Lessons can be in English, Spanish, Norwegian or Dutch.
