- Chess: I teach chess to beginners and intermediate players up to ELO 1800 or ECF 1700, working on the tactical and strategic aspects of openings, middle games and endgames.. "chess is life in miniature"!

- Fitness / Running / Triathlon: I coach people who want to get fitter and generally incorporate any endurance activity into a health(ier) lifestyle. I am a dedicated coach who has competed in several marathons and Ironman races (also qualified for the Ironman World Championship). Chess is a fun game that starts with the basic rules and moves through the 3 parts of the game: the opening, the middlegame, and the endgame.

The focus at first is to teach you how the pieces move, what the goal of the opening is, and how the pieces interact. You will also learn the vocabulary related to chess and chess notation.

Tactics are then explored to take advantage of hanging pieces, lack of king safety, space, and tempo. From here depending on what your personal goals are we will adapt the classes to cover what will help you progress.

I offer both online and face-to-face training. For online training we can use Discord, Skype or Zoom.

The training is adapted to the needs of the student. During the lessons, we work together to identify the student's weaknesses and work specifically on them.
I was first introduced to chess at the age of 5. At 17 I joined the Düsseldorf Chess Club and at 18 I headed a primary school chess club.
I have a Chess.com online Rapid Rating of around 1650, which puts me in the top 2% of rapid chess players on Chess.com.
I use a large part of my free time to improve my chess skills by working through books, solving problems, playing games, analyzing them extensively and exchanging ideas with other players.

My name is Vladislav, I'm 20 years old, and I've been living in Vienna for two years. I'm a FIDE Master with a rating of 2384, winner of the 2025 Vienna State Masters Championship, and a prizewinner of the 2025 Memorial Korchnoi. I also successfully passed the 2025 MedAT with 84% – this demonstrates that I learn in a structured way, develop strategies, and can convey complex content in an understandable way.

I was a member of the Saint Petersburg national team, twice the winner of the Russian Youth Team Championship, multiple winner of the Saint Petersburg Youth Championship, runner-up of the 2018 European Youth Team Championship in Tallinn, and a participant and prizewinner of many international competitions.

I am a certified chess teacher based in Berlin (DOSB-Trainerin C Leistungssport) and a former competitive player, holding the title of Candidate Master in Russia (FIDE peak 1974). This course offers personalised 1:1 chess training for beginners, returning players, and intermediate hobby players up to about 1600 DWZ / FIDE Elo (which corresponds to significantly higher online ratings).
We will focus on all essential areas of improvement: tactics, opening principles, middlegame plans, and fundamental endgames.
