I am a violin teacher currently studying with a distinguished violin teacher in Vienna, who has won prestigious prizes at Oleh Krysa International Violin Competition, the Michael Hill International Violin Competition, etc.... If you study with me, there may be an opportunity for you to work with my teacher, depending on your current violin level.

For beginners, I teach using the Suzuki method and the Zhang Shi Xiang Progressive Violin Repertoire, focusing primarily on developing solid foundational techniques rather than solely building repertoire. I believe a strong technical foundation is essential for both professional musicians and amateurs. My teaching approach is informed by years of conscious practice, exploration of ''good'' playing, and stage performance experience.

If you have specific requests or preferences regarding your lessons, I am happy to discuss and adapt to your needs.

I have played the violin for many years and experience in both performing and teaching. My goal is to share the joy of music and inspire your passion for the violin.

Professional violin and viola teacher based in Berlin, teaching in person at students' location or online, in English, German or Russian.

As well as instrumental teaching and ensemble coaching of at all levels over the last 12 years, I’ve led numerous professional workshops, including ‘Music First’ and ‘Music Masters’ workshops in London and was an assistant on the Primary Arpeggione viola course and at the Springgrove music competition. As a member of the European String Teachers’ Association, I participated in their conferences across Europe.

I have prepared students for music exams at all levels, working with them on music theory, aural and sight reading skills, and regularly accompany students on the piano.

As a performing musician, I appear as a soloist and chamber musician internationally, recently including at the ‘Gstaad Menuhin’, ‘Schiermonnikoog’ and 'Rome Chamber Music' festivals. I have participated in several international competitions, notably receiving the Barbirolli prize at the Lionel Tertis International Viola Competition 2019, 1st prize at the Małopolska competition, and the Len Lickorish Memorial Prize at the Royal Overseas League International Strings Competition.

I hold a masters degree with first class honours from the class of Tabea Zimmermann at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin, and Bachelors with the same distinction from the Royal Academy of Music in London. I attended the International Musicians Seminar at Prussia Cove on four occasions and have collaborated with composers Garth Knox, Vasilis Alevizos and Thomas Jones on their new works, with performances in London and at the Agora Music Festival in Luxembourg.

As a chamber musician I have played with the 12, Seida and 4|12 ensembles, as well as with musicians of the Berlin Philharmonic and clarinettist Matthew Hunt at HellensMusic festival, with Tabea Zimmermann at the Laeiszhalle Hamburg, with Claudio Martínez Mehner and Christoph Poppen in Santander, and with members of the ARC ensemble at the Music of Exile Festival in Toronto, Canada, amongst others.

I was a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra in 2018, and a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain from 2014-2015, appearing on BBC Radio 3 broadcasts and a televised BBC Prom, as well as being involved in the NYO outreach programme ‘inspire’ in schools across London, including workshops and interactive performances at the Royal Festival Hall.

My name is Ewa and I have lived in Rome for more than 12 years and I have been playing the violin for approx. 30 years. I graduated from music institutes in Poland (modern violin) and the conservatories of Santa Cecilia and Rome and the one in Palermo (baroque violin).
I have been teaching the violin to children, teenagers and adults of all ages for more than 20 years. My studio is located in the San Pietro area (near the San Pietro train station).

Scientific research states that those who play the violin develop both cerebral hemispheres while normally only one develops. Furthermore, playing the violin can also offer various possibilities in life: perhaps you or yours no one knows yet.

Summing up what I offer are:

I have been teaching adult beginners and intermediates to play the violin and viola for 10 years. The focus is very different. One person would like to find relaxation in playing the violin.
