My name is David, I am a French professional Jazz Piano player and teacher. I've been awarded several times for my musical projects (1st Price JazzHaus International Piano Competition in Freiburg, Germany, 2nd Price Monaco Jazz Soloist International Competition, Semi-finalist of the Montreux Piano Solo Competition, Switzerland, La Défense Jazz National Competition, Paris, France, etc.)

I graduated a Jazz Performance Master degree at HEMU, Lausanne, Switzerland as well as a Jazz Pedagogy Master degree at HKB, Bern, Switzerland.
I am available for online (skype or zoom, or other platforms) piano lessons.

I offer a wide panel of music styles, from Jazz to Classic, including Pop Music and Film Music. During the lesson, one part of the learning session is about music theory, especially harmony, scales and improvisation. All that seen from a Jazz Pianist approach. We also learn how to sight read music. More importantly, we learn the technic of the instrument, the nuances and musicality we can elaborate alongside this beautiful instrument.

Hello, I have extensive experience with students of all ages as a teacher of music theory, violin and viola. Custom classes, focused on student interests.
I studied violin degree at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Vigo in Spain and viola in Spain and at the Utrechts Conservatorium. The research of my final exam was about well-being and phisical education to improve and accelerate the learning process.

Do you like singing? Or do you walk around with songs in your head all day? Then take singing lessons with Deborah online or in Amstelveen Westwijk. We sing songs from different countries and times. We will also work on different rhythms, notes and tone exercises.

If you are busy singing you can even have a completely different feeling and you can ensure that you have extra energy for the rest of the day.

Your body is your instrument when singing. We try to make that instrument sound as beautiful as possible..

During the singing lessons we also work on articulation, the pronunciation of foreign languages and also on the meaning of and your feelings about a particular piece. Of course we decide together what kind of music you will sing. We will also make a journey of discovery together to your favorite music.

Are you a beginner?? No worries: no experience is required! 😁
I can teach you the basics to produce sounds with your saxophone: position of the embouchure (teeth, tongue, lips and vocal cords' position, an element often forgotten), fingerings, use of diafragma,...
After the first two lessons spent on the mouthpiece and neck for the sound production, we will immediately start to play some super easy duos together to practice your capacity of listening, pay attention to the other, ear training as well. I normally use the book of Peter Wastall (titled Learn as you play) as support, but it is not mandatory. There are plenty of good books btw!

Are you an intermediate / advanced student?? I am sure you can still improve in all the basics, but on a different level. I'll teach you the importance of the "voicing" (technique named by the american saxophonist and pedagogue Donald Sinta) to improve your sound production and projection as well as the capacity of correcting and improving the intonation. You can learn all about phrasing and music interpretation, from tonal music until contemporary atonal compositions. And still, you can improve your playing together, practicing in duo on different aspects like tuning, balance, interpretation, performance etc.

I have been giving private music lessons and fortepiano for a long time. In addition to my classical music education in 2000, I obtained my bachelor's degree in psychopedagogy in 2006. This year I am interested in expanding my practice to include more students with special needs.
I learned about the different ways music can help students with special needs. It helps them express their emotions and develop their memories and self-regulatory skills.
It can show them strengths that they might not otherwise find during their school day. It can also open their eyes to a whole world of expression and beauty, enriching their lives.

My teaching methodology focuses on creating a friendly and relaxed environment (which does not mean undemanding!) in which students feel confident to express their own ideas and worries. I am a Spanish pianist and composer (MMus graduate from Codarts Rotterdam in both directions) with many years of teaching experience, and also very active in performing in various contexts.
