I have years of experience in teaching italian language and culture to foreigners, both adults and school, in order to prepare for L1 and L2 italian proficiency examination. I think making homeworks is important but learning the best you can during the lesson is the rightest way to be prepared. I usually focus my lessons on the life style of my own country promoting tourism and culture exchange to fix new patterns and words through their use in real life.
I try to do the same when i teach japanese as i condsider my second native country as i have been studying Japanese culture and language for many years and i have been there many times
