Hi! My name is Alona, and I’m a certified modern vocal and piano teacher with over 10 years of experience.

I hold a degree in music education from Borys Grinchenko University in Kyiv and have completed advanced vocal pedagogy training.
I am a certified instructor of the authorial method “Improvination” by singer Rulada. I also integrate tools from CVT and Cheryl Porter’s method.

I offer engaging and personalized lessons for teenagers (12+) and adults who want to:
• develop their voice or piano skills
• learn how to sing modern genres (pop, opera, musicals, etc.)
• prepare for performances, competitions, or music school entrance
• improve confidence, creativity, and musicality

Lessons are available in English, Ukrainian, or Russian.

Ever since I was little, I was passionate about music. I have been playing the piano for 10 years and have given several concerts.

Those who want to learn the piano, I adapt my course according to your preferences and tastes. If you don't know how to read the notes or you've never done music theory, that doesn't cause a problem. The most important thing in music is to have fun. I can teach you several genres of music such as classical music, jazz, film music, pop...

Lessons in piano, harpsichord, and historical and modern cello, with program and repertoire, adapted to the goals and speed of each student, whether young, not so young, or adult, for a general introduction to these instruments, for preparation for high music education, as a supplementary aid for exams in music academies, or for a hobby, or for amateur group music-making, or for developing qualities as concentration, coordination, discipline, expressibility, awareness of styles and music history.
In my teaching, I rely mostly on old traditional methods, books, and repertoire, which have proved their efficiency over the time. I also make use of the teaching tradition of partimenti of the old Neapolitan conservatories - exercises for composing that can be applied from early stage. This not only adds a creative element soon after very beginning, but also teaches via practice the basics of harmony and polyphony.
Lessons can be combined (+30min.) with theory/solfege (ear training), if the student wishes.

Whether you want to play just for fun or to become a professional pianist I can give you a personalised course. At the beginning of the course, I will evaluate your level and give you recommendations of what we can work on. There are two main types of courses:

- a hobbyist course: it won’t be time consuming. I will help you learn new pieces and a little theory and solfege. The primary goal of this course is to make you enjoy playing in your spare time without having to practice too much.

- a professional course: in this course I will help you reach the level of a professional musician. I will give you an insight of how to prepare a piece or pieces for a competition or an audition. I will also teach a lot of theory and solfege so that you can prepare for a conservatory or a school of music.

The clarinet is a single-reed musical instrument in the woodwind family, with a nearly cylindrical bore and a flared bell.

Clarinets comprise a family of instruments of differing sizes and pitches. The clarinet family is the largest woodwind family, ranging from the BB♭ contrabass to the E♭ soprano. The B♭ soprano clarinet is the most common type, and is the instrument usually indicated by the word "clarinet".

German instrument maker Johann Christoph Denner is generally credited with inventing the clarinet sometime around the year 1700 by adding a register key to the chalumeau, an earlier single-reed instrument. Over time, additional keywork and airtight pads were added to improve the tone and playability. Today the clarinet is a standard fixture of the orchestra and concert band and is used in classical music, military bands, klezmer, jazz, and other styles.

After many years of experience, teaching has become an ongoing passion and I developed a powerful and fun approach of teaching for beginners and advanced students.

Noticing that a lot of violin players are unable to play music without scores I tend to work using more the ears instead of scores. Besides learning songs and improvisation in the musical genre that the student prefers, I also emphasize on technique and posture.
