I teach young students how to play and perfect playing Violin. depending on students level of playing, I teach and help them to have better understanding of music. My main goal is to make them fall in love with music and especially with violin. I teach classical music, therefore it is important to also know some basic facts about the pieces and composers that will come along on this amazing journey. I will help students to gain better understanding on how to practice and i will try my best to help them in any way they struggle with Violin. I understand how extremely difficult it is to be able to play Violin and especially perfect it and thats why it is very important to help students with their technique and sound.

I am 18 years old, but i have 12 year experience playing Violin. It is my passion and my future career to play violin professionally. In general i am very open with people and seem to find a way to communicate very quickly. I am choosing to work with each student with different approaches. I want to make lessons very open between me and students in order to be able to share problems regarding music and to gain better understanding of each other.

My first few years i was studying in Evgeni Mikeladzes music school in Georgia, Tbilisi. When i turned 14 i moved to UK, London and continued studying Violin in The Purcell school. Once i finished school, i got into HEMU, conservatory in Lausanne. I have studied with 5 amazing teachers from all over the world, who taught me everything i know today. I have also been to many masterclasses around the world since i was 9.

Erfahrung / Qualifikationen

I have participated in many competitions and won prizes, since i was 7. I have a great experience of playing with orchestra. I have been awarded bows and even a Violin in very prestigious competitions. I have been honored to perform in Royal Albert Hall. In one of the competitions the Queen of Belgium awarded me herself. Regarding teaching, i was a private tutor in London while studying and had few amazing students.

I hold a Master in Classical Violin Pedagogy, issued by the Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne and I offer violin lessons for all ages and for all levels! Different styles of music possible: classical, klezmer, jazz, Irish, pop music, covers of all kinds, improvisation, etc. I also have a second Masters in improvisation and composition from the Lucerne Conservatory of Music.
I offer you a friendly experience of discovery and deepening of your musical and instrumental skills, in order to be able to play the violin with pleasure and comfort.
I teach according to the principles of the Alexander Techniques, a bodily and mental technique that allows you to practice music in a physiologically intelligent and mentally coherent way, which ensures you a thoughtful, pleasant and physically balanced learning of the violin!

The 5 string banjo is an amazing instrument. It's driving trademark sound and it's African roots has contributed to many music traditions, including Country, Bluegrass, Blues, Jazz and world music.

In my class you'll first learn the basics, how to hold and pick and read tablatures. We'll then go through how to play a tune, accompany other instruments and finally, improvise. During the year I'll teach you basic music theory like rhythm, harmony and a bit of ear training to help you develop your understanding and relationship to the instrument.

We'll mainly play Bluegrass Scruggs style at first, then we'll dive into melodic style and sigle string, that will all be useful for playing other kinds of music, like Irish music, Pop, Jazz or Blues. I teach with a solid classical base (position, left/right hand technique) while giving the student basics of harmony (chords, song accompaniment), improvisation (scales, blues, etc.) and solo (polyphonic) or duo pieces. I am open to all proposals from the student.

I also give importance to well-being, self-confidence, or other abilities that the student would like to acquire.

SOLFÈGE: My courses cover several aspects necessary for the successful learning of music theory: strategies for recognizing intervals, chords and rhythms and their executions, singing, musical indications, exercises, attentive listening, musicality. These aspects are essential to instrumental practice, because they first allow you to correctly read a score, then analyze and interpret it.

Hello! My name is Yann, I am a young 27-year-old professional musician and bassist with a Master's degree in Jazz Performance from the Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne.

I am committed to offering personalized lessons, the main objective of which is to develop your personal relationship with music and integrate the arts into your daily life. All levels are welcome. I want to help you develop tools to analyze and interpret your favorite music, and create your own! I can accompany you in a wide variety of styles, having myself performed numerous concerts in extremely varied musical genres. Come as you are!

During the Bass lessons, we will cover:

- The technical aspect of the Bass Guitar, the basics of posture and the different playing modes
- Understand the powerful and versatile role of the Bass in different styles, teach you collective playing
- Familiarization with the handle: find the concepts that allow you to develop a fusional relationship
- Develop your ear and theoretical understanding of music

I give lessons in my fully equipped music studio in Flon, in the heart of Lausanne.

My career as an instrumentalist began a few years ago alongside numerous Swiss artists, including J.NUNN, Roxane, Chelan, and Nnavy. I have performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival, Paleo, Cully Jazz, Les Docks, and Caribana, as well as at numerous events throughout Switzerland, as well as in France, Germany, and the Netherlands. I give between 60 and 70 concerts per year.
I also have several experiences as a musician, producer and composer in professional studios in France, Norway and Switzerland.

Today, I want to share my experience with you and share what I've learned and what I'm learning! I also teach music production, composition, and guitar. We can expand the scope of our classes depending on your preferences.
