I'm a passionate classical singer with more than 12 years of experience as soloist, choralist and teacher, and I would love to explore with you all the amazing posibilities of your voice! My classes are adapted to the background and goals of the student, having in common the principles of body awareness, healthy technique and vocal hygiene, experimentation, joy and develop of musicality.

You will learn how to use your voice in a classical approach, that wil allow you then to face the most varied musical genres.

In our first class I would love to know your goals, music preferences and experiences around music. The sessions include technical exercises and repertoire revision (phrasing, diction, style). Feel free to bring at least one piece per lesson and all the questions that you have!

I'm graduated from the Conservatorio de las Rosas (Mexico) and the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp (Belgium), where he studied voice with Susanne Schimmack, Eric Reddet and Gladys Pavón; and worked with coaches as Abigail Richards, Pedro Beriso, Sabrina Avantario, Andrew Wise, Jeanne-Minette Cilliers, Aäron Wajnberg, Andrés Sarre and Alexander Pashkov. I have participated in masterclasses with professors as Maciej Pikulski, Mignon Dunn, Mareike Zimmermann, Francisco Araiza, Bettina Pahn and Alejandro Miyaki.
I have performed in Mexico, Belgium, The Netherlands and Germany; being soloist with groups as Michoacan Symphony Orchestra, Michoacan University Chamber Orchestra, Los Músicos de su Alteza, Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp Symphony, Tzintzuni Philharmonic and Zapopan Youth Symphony; collaborating with conductors as Federico Santi, Andrew Wise, Paul Dinneweth, Juan Vázquez, Francisco Orozco, Antonio González Marín, Jori Klomp and Gergely Madaras.
I have played opera roles by Shostakovich, Offenbach, Mozart, Donizetti, Verdi, Britten, Ravel and Petouchoff and Moncayo. Alumni of the European Opera Academy (2022-2023) and Sinaloa Opera Studio TAOS (2021). Performer at Arte Joven International Festival, Morelia Music Festival, ISOFOM and Hidalgo Festival of Munich. Winner of the 2nd Prize of the Nationaal Operetteconcours Brussel (2022) and finalist of the XV Concours Lyrique International "Bell'Arte" (2024). Beneficiary of the Artistic Excellence Award of the Peabody Institute (2020) and Flemish Master Mind Scholarship (2021-2023).
As liederist, I have participated in the rescue of works by composers as Carreño, Brito, Bernal Jiménez and Muench, collaborating with the pianists Miguel Brito, Rigel Miravete and Blanca Graciá. Since July 2022, I'm freelancer at the chorus of La Monnaie in Brussels, under the baton of Emmanuel Trenque. I prepare my debut as Dandini in Rosinni's La Cenerentola next autumn.

SONGS generally consist of chord and text lines. But where does that information come from and how do you make something out of nothing? How do you make that one great hIT or how strongly does your new song affect your love? Well, that's called "inspiration processing" and how does that work? Well, I'll tell you that in my course.
If you already play the guitar or piano, you are one step ahead. Your instrument is like a trampoline that offers you more options to go further and higher.
Most 'songs' are born at the craziest moments. A good songwriter his / her antennas are always open :-) and for some it is a continuous activity.
During my course I teach you through all sorts of tips and tricks (including: Travel Chord Duo Method - One Four Five and minor input - Key Word Designation and Relative Chord Progressions etc.) how you can achieve strong songs.
For me it is a daily activity and I have been writing all my life for others and sometimes for myself. All in all I have sold more than a million copies worldwide as an author / composer / performer. Is that little or is that a lot? I do not know. It doesn't interest me that much anymore.
I want to share my knowledge about how to write a song with motivated people who want to go further than just replaying others' songs. Whether they get stuck somewhere during composing and who are not afraid to seek advice.
Music is a life flirt. There are only two types of music: good and bad ...

In my lessons, you will learn the belcanto technique, which I studied for many years myself. I am a professional soprano, singing in opera theaters and concerthalls around the world. I will teach or coach you in vocal technique, languages and style. I do have a lot of experience in teaching young professionals and passionate amateurs.

Hi!

Have you always wanted to learn to sing?

I love passing on the knowledge of my craft. The mechanics of the voice is such a small and intricate thing, and knowing what goes inside our throat and body is a very special experience. I get excited and moved every time a student achieves a new skill, and takes another step towards a deeper understanding of their voice.
On top of my experience as a singer and a teacher, I have a degree in linguistics. That allows me to know exactly what has to be done inside your throat and mouth in order to produce a specific sound. I can therefore adapt to each student: if they have an analytic mind, I can explain what goes on inside and what should be done to improve that. If they have an instinctive mind, I can help with metaphor in order to help the phonation. Or both! My method is multi-faceted because each voice is unique, and it is my job to adapt, and not the contrary.

How does a lesson work?
The first time we meet, we will talk about your journey in the music world. What have you done yet music wise, what artists and genres inspire you, what are your goals. Then we will do what we do in every regular lesson: I will direct you during some warming-up exercises, that include vocal technique work (if you have already warmed up, we just do a few exercises about technique), and then we will work on whatever you want. I ask my students to always come with at least one piece of music they want to work on (or maybe two, depends on the time we have on hands).
