My name is Eman, I'm a certified Voice & Speech Therapist at Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. Working at Demrdash Hospital & Ain Shams Specialized Hospital as a Voice & Speech Therapist. A) Structural: organic voice disorders that result from physical changes in the vocal mechanism, such as: - Polyps. - Vocal Nodules. - Edema - Cysts on the vocal cords, growths that aren't cancer. B) Neurogenic causes: organic voice disorders that result from problems with the central or peripheral nervous system innervation to the larynx that affect functioning of the vocal mechanism, such as: - Vocal tremor. - Spasmodic dysphonia. - Vocal fold paralysis. - Vocal cord paralysis or weakness. 2- Functional causes: voice disorders that result from inefficient use of the vocal mechanism when the physical structure is normal, such as: - Vocal fatigue. - Muscle tension Dysphonia or Aphonia. - Diplophonia.

With over 8 years of experience as a Solfege, Oriental Solfege, Oud, and Oriental singing teacher, I am a Lebanese musician currently residing in Mönchengladbach, Germany. I honed my skills for 8 years at the Lebanese National Conservatory. Prior to my relocation, I taught at Casa Beethoven Academy in Lebanon and also held private music lessons. I also offer instruction in Eastern music, focusing on Arabic maqams, proper traditional techniques, and authentic interpretation. Additionally, I teach solfège (ear training, rhythm, and sight-singing) and beginner-level piano, especially for those looking to build a solid foundation in music. Lessons are adapted to each student’s level and musical goals.

Doing vocal exercises, teaching the correct breath and how to pronounce it correctly, training in oriental, western or operatic singing, training in mastering the correct vowels, teaching the eastern maqams, and solving all the problems that we will face during singing or vocal performance according to each voice.

My recommendation for learning the Oud is to start with the study of notes and musical notation before tackling pieces. Although some students prefer to play songs directly, understanding the basics of musical notation allows for faster progress in the long run.
