Fijn dat je je Engels wilt oefenen, leren, lezen of voor tentamens voorbereiden. Mijn naam is Klaudia en ik ben een Engles freak/taalwetenschapper. Ik geef al 5 jaar les aan kinderen, tieners en volwassenen. 2016-2017 had ik in Londen gebleven waar heb ik mijn neutrale accent aangeleerd. In 2019, ik heb TEFL 120h behaald en vanaf een jaar geef ik professioneel les.
Lessen zijn altijd op maat tot wat je nodig hebt gemaakt. Ik geloof in de individuele aandacht. Wat interesseert je, daar praten we over in het Engels. Ik voorbereid voor elke les en verwacht ik hetzelfde van jou, daarom stuur ik je altijd e-mails of berichten zodat je Engels actief in je hoofd blijft ook buiten het les.
Terwijl de les gebruiken we een aantal bijstand middelen: hand-outs, interactief media web-sites, spelen, muziek, comics, boeken, news en zo.
Het grootste voordeel van mijn nadering is flexibiliteit. Ik maak slots om in jouw agenda toe te passen. Hoe vaker je een les neemt, hoe sneller zie je de voortgang. Een les per week vind ik prima, maar een les per 2 weken is een absoluut minimum.
Leer snel, wanneer je wilt en geniet van het Engels gebruiken.

Hello there! My name is Klaudia and I am a linguistics student with a passion for grammar. Language is an everchanging medium and that fascinates me. I wonder how it shapes cultures and communication. I have lived in two countries outside my country of origin for that reason.I attained English proficiency certificate in 2017 and the teaching certificate online in March 2020. I've studied and worked in the academic environment since 2017.
Teaching is a very reciprocal activity that not only gives satisfaction at both ends of the video call, but also allows for growth of both parties and makes room for more.
As a personal tutor I always focus on the individal needs of students and as I get to know them I try to tailor the lessons in an engaging way.
All languages in the world are connected and I find it fascinating to draw the connections between them by getting to know words in other languages. I try to incorporate it into my way of teaching, as some students, just like me, find it a good way to memorize vocabulary. A little bit of etymology hasn't hurt anyone! With children, however, I would use a different teaching tactic.
English is a 'lingua franca' in todays' world and lets you see this world more broadly.

Engels is de Lingua Franca van tegenwordig. Het is een waardevolle vaardigheid om te bezitten, nuttig voor iedereen. Het is handig in de zich steeds ontwikkelende wereld waarin we leven en opent deuren naar veel plaatsen, ook in de geest. Bovendien verbetert tweetaligheid de cognitieve vaardigheden.
Of je nu je spreekvaardigheid wilt verbeteren en de taalbarrière wilt doorbreken of je je beter wilt voorbereiden op een Engels examen, ik kom je te hulp.
Ik ben een 3-jarige taalstudent, ik heb de C1 + niveaus in het Engels behaald. Ik heb 2 jaar ervaring in Londen, waar ik de RP (received pronunciation) heb geleerd en 3 jaar ervaring in de International Academia in Amsterdam. Mijn taalkundige achtergrond geeft me het vermogen om de geluiden en verschillende processen van de Engelse taal uit te leggen, vanuit een perspectief dat veel native-speakers niet kennen. Tijdens het lesgeven oefen ik de holistische benadering. Ik ben van mening dat taal bedoeld is voor mensen van elke leeftijd en opleiding, maar ik ben me ervan bewust dat iedereen een persoonlijke benadering verdient. My teaching approach is designed to develop communication skills above all. We watch or read materials, such as videos, articles, stories, poems, then discuss them; we act out situations from everyday life; we take positions and practice debates. However, this doesn’t mean that we just practice speaking. I also have to make sure that the learner is not running in a circle. I’m here to ensure that they do not keep repeating the same mistakes or keep using the same expressions over and over in conversation.
In order to keep making progress, I take my student on a journey that involves:
• Improving their grammar.
• Fixing their pronunciation.
• Enriching their vocabulary by learning to use new words and common idioms.
By the end of this course, you should be able to speak English fluently and confidently.
PS: Currently, I’m working on my PhD thesis in English literature. Because of my academic specialty, I also help with academic writing and creative writing.
