A little bit about my background... Currently I’m running a school in Japan and I work as a headteacher. I have 10 years of teaching experience in both English and Japanese, providing group lessons and private lessons primarily in Japan and Toronto. I grew up in Japan, therefore, I am fluent in Japanese. Besides English and Japanese, I’m also fluent in Farsi. After graduating from a Japanese high school, I went to University of Toronto to study Life Science and graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Science. I was hired as a language teacher in one of the language school located in downtown Toronto. While I was in Toronto, I aimed to provide maximum opportunities for both Japanese and foreign students to share their perspectives and opinions on different topics while understanding cultural, habitual and historical differences. I have always been eager to learn different language and I had always loved teaching outside of work during my free time, which led me to build my career in education and I have obtained many years of professional teaching experiences over time. Understanding and applying what a student needs is the key to my student's achievements and success, therefore, I will make sure to provide my students an excellent platform for enhancing the quality of their language they’re learning and applying their knowledge to the real-life conversations. ✦英語/日本語を勉強してきたつもりなのにいざとなると話せない!インプットしてきた言語をアウトプットするトレーニングをします! ✦新しい言語を学ぶことで多様性に触れる機会が増えます。自分の価値観が変わったり、意見の不一致が生じても柔軟に対応することができたり、「世界観が変わりました!」という方々もたくさんいます。 ✦英語や日本語を使えるようになる事で、海外で仕事をするチャンスを得たり、留学して学校生活を最大限に楽しんだり、海外移住など大きな決断をする際も言語が通じるという点で少し安心できたりなどと可能性は無限です。 A female linguist once said that “Learning a language is like falling in love” What do you think she meant.....?
