I graduated from an art school where I learned all the important classical techniques of drawing, painting and sculpture. I would like to pass on the knowledge I have acquired through my studies and practice and give those who so wish the opportunity to go on a journey into the world of art and improve their language and technique.
The lessons are open to all levels.

The techniques covered range from drawing with pencil, charcoal and pastel chalk to all painting styles (watercolor, oil, acrylic, tempera). You have the opportunity to experiment on different types of paper (with different weights and colors) and canvases.

Il suit un modèle de mentorat, offrant un encadrement rapproché et un soutien structuré pour aider les étudiants à se préparer aux examens de Matura et d'admission en architecture avec plus de clarté, d'efficacité et (espérons-le) un risque réduit d'épuisement professionnel.

Format et rythme

• Rythme recommandé : 2 séances individuelles par semaine, de 3 à 4 heures chacune, se déroulant principalement en présentiel.
• Les séances en ligne ne sont proposées que lorsque la présence en personne est impossible.
• Début : idéalement 9 à 12 mois avant la date d’admission.
• Première séance : évaluation des compétences par un test de dessin et un court questionnaire (préférences, architectes préférés, objectifs). Les étudiants qui présentent des travaux antérieurs sont dispensés du test de dessin.
• Langue : anglais (avec traductions/explications si nécessaire).

• Technique / Graphique : perspective à main levée et construite, lumière et ombre, éléments d'entourage, représentation axonométrique, plans, coupes, élévations, mise en page (typographie, échelle, mesures).
• Théorie et contexte : histoire de l’architecture contemporaine, pensée conceptuelle, styles et mouvements, langage et terminologie architecturaux, matériaux et finitions, études de cas.
• Outils numériques et professionnels : introduction aux outils 2D et 3D, techniques de présentation, exemples de flux de travail issus de projets architecturaux réels.
• Pratique en studio et compétences cognitives : éthique professionnelle, gestion du temps, culture de la critique, fluidité créative, présentation et rhétorique d’une vision, pensée à grande échelle

2. Constitution de portfolio / Lettre de motivation + Test de classement (TU Wien)

• Stratégie de portfolio alignée sur la vision de l'étudiant et les critères académiques ; travail par projet avec rétroaction ; pages de portfolio finales soigneusement sélectionnées ; légendes et narration visuelle ;
• TU Wien - soutien spécifique comprenant des exemples de lettres de motivation et une préparation aux tests de classement.

3. Impression de l'entretien et du jury

• Comment présenter les choix : narration (problème → idée → résolution → apprentissage).
• Le jury s'intéresse à : la clarté de la pensée, la visibilité du processus, la curiosité, l'adaptabilité, la culture visuelle, l'attitude.

I am the founder of the fashion brand Johannes and an actively practising designer, bringing an industry-focused approach to teaching. I support students in developing strong, competitive portfolios for university applications and professional roles, with clear guidance on concept development, editing, and presentation aligned with current academic and industry expectations.

My professional work includes designing and dressing international artists such as Björk, Lady Gaga, Grimes, Kylie Jenner, Megan Thee Stallion, Rina Sawayama, and Post Malone for performances, editorials, and public appearances. This experience gives students direct insight into professional standards, timelines, and the realities of working under pressure within the fashion industry. My technical foundation is shaped by experience in couture and luxury fashion environments including Viktor&Rolf, Givenchy, Balmain, and bespoke tailoring ateliers.

My teaching covers draping, pattern making, sewing, and hand-based construction techniques, with a strong focus on fit, proportion, and translating ideas into technically resolved garments. I offer targeted guidance on what universities are looking for at foundation, BA, and MA level: from creative curiosity and process at foundation stage, to technical skill, concept development, and visual clarity at BA level, through to research depth, authorship, and critical positioning at MA level. I work closely with students to ensure their portfolios clearly communicate both creative identity and readiness for academic or professional progression.
