This class is for students who want to learn English at CEFR B1 - B2 level. we will work through the Units in the Preliminary English Skills course (PET).
Each Unit will cover spoken English reading writing and listening. The units have grammar content and each unit covers a different grammar focus.
Working through the units we can work on specific grammar points or specific exercises to support with exam prep.
We will work on reading with understanding of the text through comprehension and multi choice questions.
We will focus on the vocabulary for each unit using this in context to support understanding.
We will then apply this in the writing part of the unit by implementing what the grammar and vocabulary foci in our writing.
This will be followed up with homework tasks.
This lesson is suitable for students who have some knowledge of English and can speak, read and write some English.

TECHNOLOGIES FOR LEARNING.

Hey,

My name is Laurie and I am an independent FLE teacher, graduated in French and Romance languages and literature since 2012. I have five years of experience under my belt (abroad and in Belgium). I have created a teaching method for online courses.

The course includes:
-The material (articles, videos, exercises from images and texts, grammatical theory, links to the exercises...). I use Google Doc so it's best to have a Gmail address to access it.
-The correction of exercises outside of class (the written expressions are corrected outside of class, or with the student, according to his needs).
-Access to an application (free) to study vocabulary on your smartphone.
-A vocabulary sheet - pronunciation - grammar / conjugation, sent after each course.
-If necessary, a vocabulary recording (for beginners).
-The realization of online exercises and tests from the sent vocabulary sheets.
-Motivation, laughter, good mood :-)

My method:
- It's based on speaking.
-For grammar I use a question/answer method (learned during the training at the CERAN center).
-We work on pronunciation with the verbotonal method (exercises for setting your voice, for rhythm, etc.). I might even make you sing! :-)
-Everything goes through the spoken word before the written word, but I clearly adapt to the needs of the students.
-The course is a little different for children and adolescents: I use interactive games and cards via webcam.
