My teaching philosophy is centered on fostering a student-centered, inclusive, and dynamic learning environment where all students can succeed, regardless of their academic level. I believe that every student has the potential to excel in mathematics and physics when given the right support, engaging instruction, and opportunities to explore concepts through real-world applications.

With more than 12 years of experience, I have learned that effective teaching is not just about delivering content but about inspiring curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. I incorporate diverse teaching approaches—such as hands-on experiments, technology integration, and collaborative learning—to make abstract STEM concepts more tangible and engaging. I also differentiate instruction to support students performing above grade level while ensuring struggling learners receive the necessary interventions to build their confidence and skills.

I assume that you want to do vocational training in the technical and scientific field in Germany. In order to meet the practical requirements of these professions, you need thorough preparation in the subjects of chemistry, physics and applied mathematics in addition to the German language certificate B1/B2. I am a retired German teacher who currently lives in Nairobi. I studied chemistry at the Technical University of Karlsruhe, Germany and then taught chemistry, physics and applied mathematics for 40 years at a school for scientific and technical professions. I will prepare you for the (practice-oriented) lessons at a German vocational school, which are very different from the (theory-oriented) lessons at a Kenyan secondary school. The learning group consists of 1 to 4 students. The following activities are free for you. I will help you find a company near my home, i.e. in the greater Karlsruhe area. I will support you in your application. If you get an apprenticeship, I will help you cope with the vocational school lessons and everyday life.
