In my course , I will be focusing on explaining each of the historical events, figures and periods in the following manner:cause, motivation, consequences. Not only wil this make the course more enjoyable but it wil also make the student think in a critical manner, understanding events of historical impact.
I consider history to be one of the most fascinating and important subjects thought in schools. The problem is however that it is thought in such a way that forces the student to memorize facts and not actually understand the great deal of importance of those events.

My goal as a teacher is to make you understand the subject at hand to the extent to which you wil not only excel in your exams or academic goals but also take this knowledge further with you.I am planing to do so in a relaxed teaching environment that should make the student feel motivated to learn but above all,comfortable with making mistakes and the overall process of learning.I am currently pursuing my Bachelor studies in Amsterdam. My main areas of expertise, which I am also in more detail studying in university, are mathematics and data science related. However, I also have a very strong comittment to learning foreign languages and social sciences, such as history. I have about a year of teaching experience and I am friendly, flexible and patient.
I will adapt my teaching methods to the student and the material he needs help with. Depending on the ultimate goal, we will go over the theoretical material and then move on to do practical exercises.

I completed the IB DP with a consistent 7/ high 6 in Higher Level History, and this has always been one of my favorite subjects. I am very good at this subject and have somewhat of a passion for it. I have a very good grasp of what is expected from the IB students as pertains to this subject, and I know the ins and outs of the criteria and the weird and wonderful little ways in which the IB expects the students to perform.
