Have you always wanted to learn the guitar?
Well, you've come to the right place, with friendly lessons, helpful advice from over 10 years of experience and genuine care in your improvement your first step to becoming a guitar god starts today!
The class will start with an introductory session where we can discuss your musical background your influences and where you want to be. This will also help me to get a feel for how you learn and allow me to tailor a curriculum around you. From there the fun begins! The class is taught in 5 weeks 'terms' (I hate to use that word but its the most accurate) with the 6th week being a recap in the last few weeks. There will be homework but it'll be fun and tailored specifically to your needs. So don't hesitate to get in touch and as I said, your first step to becoming a guitar god starts today!

Originally from the countryside of Suffolk, I was lucky enough to be offered guitar lessons at the age of 10 and I was hooked from there. I started gigging at 12 playing with anyone and everyone and as I approached GCSES I realized I could now take this seriously, I choose Music Performance and Music and from that point on there was no turning back...
Since I've played gigs all over East Anglia from Norwich, Ipswich, and Bury St Edmunds to name a few. Then finally a year and a half ago I took the leap and moved to London, this allowed me to meet so many new and amazing people and now I've played most of London and am loving every second of it!

I'm here to help, currently an undergraduate in songwriting at The Academy of Contemporary Music in London I have developed my craft over many years and hopefully have the answers to all your questions and more!
With songwriting there is many approaches so the way in which this course is taught depends heavily on your individual needs however as food for thought this is my general structure for my other courses.

The guitar is undoubtedly one of the most popular instruments of the modern age. It is so versatile and used in many genres ranging from classical music to Death Metal and even Electronic Music.

I will teach you the basics of playing the guitar, and I'll spice it up later with my experience in composition and songwriting. We will learn by example through the famous songs that shaped our understanding of the guitar. Whether you prefer singer-songwriter-style songs, or thrash metal we'll get there together.

I will teach mainly using the guitar tablature format, we can do sheet music which is generally unneeded for anything besides classical, but I will need to refresh my music sheet reading skills as I haven't had to read any in the last 10 years.
