My academic qualifications include UWLQ Level 5/ UWLQ Level 4 / UWLQ Level 3 in Music Performance (Electric Guitar Performance) and UWLQ Level 2 in Theory of Music. At the present time, I am working as an online Guitar Instructor for Symphony Inc. Sri Lanka, a Music school I formed shortly after leaving the United Arab Emirates in 2018 where I worked in the retail industry as an Audio / Musical Instrument Sales Professional.

In the past three years, I have gained extensive teaching experience both in a physical environment & a virtual classroom tutoring over 150 students’ altogether, spanning across diverse cultures and countries. In addition to the teaching experience, I also handled all aspects of operations including Advertising which entails (Social media content, Paid Promotions), Study plans using Musical software such as (Sibelius & Note flight), for recording of backing tracks (Cubase & Garage band) and liaising with the academic staff for examinations and managing finances. I have taken advantage of many opportunities to develop my teaching abilities by been responsible for helping students develop individually, rehearsing them for Trinity and LCME examinations and conducting several workshops to groups of young people to focus on their energy on a common goal. Through teaching I have acquired the ability to instill confidence among the students who have had little to begin with and over the past three years I have gained a promising reputation that had brought results to my career as a teacher.

The guitar is undoubtedly one of the most popular instruments of the modern age. It is so versatile and used in many genres ranging from classical music to Death Metal and even Electronic Music.

I will teach you the basics of playing the guitar, and I'll spice it up later with my experience in composition and songwriting. We will learn by example through the famous songs that shaped our understanding of the guitar. Whether you prefer singer-songwriter-style songs, or thrash metal we'll get there together.

I will teach mainly using the guitar tablature format, we can do sheet music which is generally unneeded for anything besides classical, but I will need to refresh my music sheet reading skills as I haven't had to read any in the last 10 years.

My lessons are an opportunity to dive deep into the art of music creation. Experienced teacher of Oud and oriental Arabic singing for over 11 years, I am Lebanese and currently residing in Germany. I studied for 8 years at the Lebanese National Conservatory. I taught at the Casa Beethoven Academy in Lebanon and gave private lessons. In addition, I was conductor of the Loubnan Assalam oriental orchestra for over 5 years.

My recommendation for learning the Oud is to start with the study of notes and musical notation before tackling pieces. Although some students prefer to play songs directly, understanding the basics of musical notation allows for faster progress in the long run. With determination and hard work, significant progress can be made in a year, allowing one to play simple melodies.
