Hi,

Welcome to my profile. I'm a professional cellist from Buenos Aires Argentina, currently performing as a substitute soloist in the cello section of Teatro Colón's Permanent Orchestra. The Teatro Colón is one of the most prominent opera houses in the country as well as of Latin America.
I've been playing the cello since I was 13 years old and since then it's been a 30-year-old journey. I played in several orchestras in my country and abroad while I was developing my career as a musician in Europe. I have also performed as a soloist most of the big cello and orchestra works as well as chamber music concerts in my own country.
I have had great teachers in my career, and I have also helped many students in their own journey with the cello. I
helped them sharpen their skills, gave them study routines focused on their needs and desires, and even helped them prepare for (and eventually win!) auditions.
My main duties as the moment are performing Opera repertoire with top-level conductors and I'm a regular collaborator with the Buenos Aires Philharmonic Orchestra, playing symphonic works.

I'm a professional cellist from Buenos Aires, Argentina.

I've been playing the cello professionally for 30 years and have a vast experience in orchestra playing, chamber music, and teaching.

I was very lucky to have teachers who not only taught me the big pieces of the cello repertoire, but actually focused on giving me the tools and techniques to solve not just one difficult pass in a concerto or sonata, but rather, how to tackle any difficult pass, come to the best approach on how to study it and eventually master it.

These tools are a true gift I was given and use on a daily basis, and it is my desire to pass it forward to students and future cellists.The cello study is a neverending road, there is always something to improve, no matter where you are in your journey.

I have enjoyed every part of my formation and I have come to learn that even the most boring of the technical exercises can be fun, challenging and even beautiful if you approach it and work on it the right way.

Music is very interesting both as a profession and as a hobby, but in the beginning we all have difficulties when it comes to playing an instrument. But with a little guidance and a bit of patience you can get the desired results... it's proven :)
My name is Paula, I love teaching and working with enthusiastic people, because as I said, teaching others is actually teaching yourself ;).
My bachelor's degree at the Conservatory of Ghent (Belgium) taught me what music interpretation is. At the Peter Cornelis Conservatory I learned the important basics of cello and music teaching.
In recent years I have gained a lot of experience teaching cello in individual and group lessons as well as in string class lessons.
The way of teaching will suit the level of the student (for beginners I divide the lessons into two parts: half basic music theory and the other half cello), and I will always have my cello with me to illustrate.

I study at the Musikhochschule Mannheim and at the Blackmore Academy Berlin. I have worked both as an orchestra musician with renowned orchestras such as the Hr-Symphonieorchester and the Museumsorchester Frankfurt and also as a soloist with the Geringas Chamber Orchestra. I have attended many international courses with, among others: David Geringas, Reinhard Latzko, Jan Ickert and Martti Rousi.

I teach in German, Russian and English. I design the lessons according to the student's wishes. I am particularly interested in further development in order to cope with increasingly difficult tasks, for example the section leader in the orchestra. I attach great importance to literature from all stylistic epochs from baroque to modern, including popular music. I like to teach beginners according to Gabriel Koeppen's cello school, volumes 1-3 and the Suzuki method. I regularly arrange works for my students' cello sambles and, at the request of the students, music that has not yet been rewritten for cello.

Hello, my name is Anna, and I’ve been playing the cello for 22 years. I have a masters degree both in performative arts and teaching cello from the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, Hungary. I have acquired a wide range of tools to inspire my pupils individually in their step-by-step development. I teach learners of all ages and levels, my students are 5-60 years old, from beginner to advanced.
When I was 15, my cello teacher asked me to teach her younger pupils. I was enthusiastic of teaching, and I still have the same enthusiasm, but much more knowledge and experience.

You're in good hands! As a professional cellist for 14 years now, including as a member of major European and Australian opera and philharmonic orchestras, I welcome all students, from those picking up the instrument for the first time to those preparing for professional auditions.

My primary aim in teaching is to create an atmosphere of mutual trust and respect in which students can draw motivation to set and accomplish their goals, with my full commitment towards helping them achieve those. Getting the foundations of good playing and good musicianship right is of course a very close and no less important second!

During their journey, students can count on my patience, understanding and sympathy to help them through all challenges. I tailor my teaching style to fit all students based on their individual needs and wishes, or those of their parents if they're too young to decide for themselves.

I'm determined to break the stereotype of teachers being failed performers and teach not only by demonstration, but by playing with students as an accompanist or duet partner, even with absolute beginners.

I am Zhanshu, a cellist from China with extensive experience in cello playing and music education. I previously obtained my Postgraduate Diploma at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in the UK and then completed my Master's degree at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Germany.
