Latin and Ancient Greek can be very intimidating subjects to approach. I specialise in tailoring my lessons and resources to a student's aims and needs to ensure a holistic understanding and growth in confidence.

We will work together to build your own curriculum to follow and will have regular round up sessions to go over previous content.

I'm a Student at the University of Oxford who is passionate about empowering others through education. I'm very friendly and outgoing and enjoy drama and reading and writing stories- especially fantasy and science fiction.

I study Classics and Arabic and my favourite things to learn about are the mundane, every day parts of human life in the past. I love connecting to people who came before us and I find that focusing my interests on these interpersonal aspects makes me a very understanding and patient educator

Latin is a rather subtle language and for some, almost enigmatic, as the style, vocabulary and syntax can be confusing. However, all it takes is a little "Ariadne's thread" to find your way through this labyrinth for the uninitiated. Don't panic! A practical method exists that will put you at ease when faced with any Latin challenge. The delicate syntax of this language will no longer be a torture for you and you might even find it fun to practice reading and understanding texts that previously seemed inaccessible or even hermetic to you. Reading, analyzing, understanding, and translating a Latin text is possible. And even - why not? - writing in Latin.
As an experienced teacher, I offer you supervision (online or at home) taking into account the learner's level and adopting the most appropriate method for adequate monitoring. Online, the sessions will be recorded, if the listener wishes, and the video will be available for revision. You will have the rigor that this ancient language requires, today more current than ever. Declension, conjugation, syntax will always be a passion for you, by following the method that we propose to improve your level. You will soon translate texts from Latin to French (version) and from French to Latin (theme) in a simple and effective way.
If you are an intermediate (non-exam) student, looking to upgrade and fill the gaps that could potentially hinder you in the exam class, you will find the skills and experience competition to be sure to meet the challenge. Whatever your fear or certainty of the weakness of your level, our promise is to raise you to performance.
If you are a student in an exam class, you will find, through various media, the resources allowing you to get up to speed and approach the tests with confidence, with the certainty of a positive result. The difficulties that founded your fear or your aversion to Latin will soon be nothing more than ancient history! Yes indeed!
We have already supervised auditors online or in person with satisfactory results, using a method centered on the learner and taking into account their abilities and limitations. We proceed with a flexible method according to the level of development of the auditor/learner to avoid any dropout that may arise from reluctance or apprehension.
For you non-Latinists wishing to acquire knowledge in Latin for various uses or objectives, this course will allow you to have a good introduction to this classical language. You will now be able to read and understand simple to complex structures, access texts independently to increase your general knowledge or achieve your objectives according to the needs or requirements of your activity.
