I'm a TEFL Certified (ITQUK) freelance EFL/ESL tutor. I’m also a highly skilled Finance Professional with extensive experience in the International Development sector.
My First Language is English, and I’m fluent in Afrikaans. I have intermediate level skills in French, and I’m at beginner level in Spanish, Portuguese and Arabic (MSA).
Since 2020, I've taught more than 600 lesson hours to students at varying levels. My students come from diverse backgrounds and age groups, and are located in various parts of the world, including Canada, Taiwan, France, Tunisia, England, Senegal and Belgium.
My lessons are student-centred, flexible, and fun! Lessons are continuously adapted to suit the individual; every lesson is structured based on a learner's identified needs.
The focus of lessons will initially be based on a student needs assessment carried out at the start of your course, and adapted based on your progress and changing needs throughout the duration of a specific course.
Learning areas identified may include:

My professional education includes a Practical Accounting diploma, a Bookkeeping diploma, the GradCG (Accounting Officer and Governance Professional) qualification, and the CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting.
In 2007, I completed the TEFL Certificate course (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) at the Cape Town School of English.
To refresh my knowledge and enhance my techniques, I completed the ITA Online TEFL/TESOL Certification Course (through the International TEFL Academy) in 2020.
