Hello! My name is Kajsa, and I am a 21 year old vocalist and musician from Sweden. I am currently in my third and final year of University at BIMM London, where I study Popular Music Performance Vocals. I have been singing and taking vocal lessons since I was 7 years old. I have been trained both classically and commercially. I prefer the commercial training because it allows the singer to focus more on the emotion when singing instead of posture and vocal techniques. Ofcourse there is a lot of technique that goes into it which we will focus on aswell, but in todays popular music the listener is looking for an emotion and a voice they can relate to. It can’t be too perfect and classical in the commercial scene today, that removes all the rawness and emotion that the listener is looking for, in my oppinion. I want to offer my potential students a safe place where they can belt their heart out or be vulnerable in their headvoice without judgement. I know I lacked this when i was growing up into this industry, and I would love to give the confidence of not caring too much and to teach how to be brave enough to sing with 100% emotion. Not holding anything in. Singing should be fun, raw and brave. This is what i offer during my lessons. /Kajsa
