Our classes will be based on your goals and current level. I teach from the pre-intermediate level to advanced and prefer working with teens and adults. It's ok if you have short term goals, like interview preparation, resume writing or preparing for a trip. It's also ok if your goals are long term where we can make a structured plan to improve every area: speaking, writing, listening and reading. How do you learn best? We can use a book, songs, TED Talks and a variety of other material.

We'll first review your target score, any practice or previous exams you've taken and when your application deadlines are to make a study plan. We'll review the sections of the exam that you want to work on together, as some students preparing for the TOEFL iBT only want tutoring on a specific section. We isolate each task to discuss the best strategy for each, then practice it. When you're comfortable, then we'll move on to the next task. I can provide homework if you'd like and I can also provide additional materials if there's something that needs fixing, like a particular grammar topic.

This class is designed for people who want to understand American Football. It's a common thought that "it's just people running into each other", but it's like chess (just more physical) and you will understand why. We will assess your beginning knowledge and where you want your final understanding to be. By the end of our classes, you will be able to understand the basic rules, the flow of a game, terminology and how it ends. I also have a board game that we can play (I'll send you the files) that uses actual strategy. Once you get some basics, we can use this tool to put things into practice.
