I have been learning for 20 years, have been living in Mali, have been around the world to learn different styles, have recorded for legends of Indian cinema and have been teaching Lubiana Kepaou for 6 years.
I have merged the best of my worlds in my teaching: spontaneity of African music, methodology of European teaching and the spirituality and intricacy of Indian music.

J'ai commencé à apprendre il ya 20 ans, j'ai vécu au Mali, et voyagé autour du monde pour apprendre différents styles, j'ai enregistré pour des légendes du cinema Indien et enseigne à Lubiana Kepaou depuis 6 ans.
J'ai rassemblé le meilleur de mes influences dans mon enseignement: la spontanéité de la musique Africaine, la méthodologie de l'enseignement Européen et la spiritualité de la musique Indienne.

When I was a medical student, doing an internship in Burkina Faso changed the course of my life drastically...
Two seemingly small events changed me in unexpected ways. First, I saw a mini decoration kora in the market in Burkina Faso, then I heard the song "Djorolen" from Oumou Sangaré (Mali). From these two things, I was firmly convinced that I needed to go to Mali and learn the kora.That's what I did and I never regretted it!
From then on I started a long journey into music from Western African music to Indian to European folk music, also touching on Azeri or Kazakh music...
Lorsque j'étais étudiant en médecine, un stage au Burkina Faso a radicalement changé le cours de ma vie...
Deux événements apparemment anodins m'ont changé de manière inattendue. Tout d'abord, j'ai vu une mini kora décorative dans un marché au Burkina Faso, puis j'ai entendu la chanson "Djorolen" d'Oumou Sangaré (Mali). Ces deux choses m'ont convaincu qu'il fallait que j'aille au Mali pour apprendre la kora.
C'est ce que j'ai fait et je ne l'ai jamais regretté!
Depuis lors, mon exploration de la musique est passée par l'Inde, l'Azerbaijan, le Kazakhstan ou la musique traditionnelle Européenne...
